Getting close. 5 days doing this same process. The next time out, I'll be burning brush piles. Then, one more time our to finish opening up the path all the way to the road. Special thanks to my dad on this video.

I contacted the electric company and they were able to get out to my property to clear the bottom of the hill near the existing line. Now, I can continue clearing the pathway.

Finished cutting the trees from the first 1/3 of the power line path. Now it's time to start making more mess and proceeding down the hill.

Leave your coat on the ground for just a few minutes and this is what happens.

I'm halfway down the hill clearing my powerline path but before I can continue, I must make more room. In order to do that, I have to cut the trees up and pile the wood out of the way to eventually be split. It'll be ready for next year.

Approximately 700 feet long by 60 feet wide and straight down a large hill. The future site of our powerlines is going to require a lot of work.

We finally finished up the monster in-law tree!! It was a hot day but with the skid steer and my Husqvarna top handle saw, we managed to crush it! Got it done. I intentionally left the stump high as a table top for some pots to sit on the.

The guy from the mill finally came to get the logs. He loads them up in no time whatsoever. Patriot Acres continues to progress. Next up, get the rest of the wood cut and split.

Usin my electric pile chainsaw, I was able to trim up a lot of low hanging branches over the driveway and around the house.

We finished up the logging project. Now I have to meet the local mill guy out there to have him haul everything off.

I already had 30+ logs stacked but need to get about 60 before I can get the local mill to pick them up. So in this video, we get about 16 logs down the hill and add them to the stack. I fell 4 trees in this video.

Just burning up the brush from when I cleared out trees along the driveway in my last video. And then a little ditch work.

I'm so glad I have the skid steer. Couldn't make so much progress without it. Cleared some more trees along the South side of the driveway. Pushed over some big ones. Thankfully, the ground is still soft and the cedars have shallow root balls.

One of our friends needed her deck power washed so we tag teamed it to get it done. 8 hours later, BOOM!! Happy Birthday America!

3 days of work, about 12 hours, got it done. All split and stacked. There's still more unsplit stacks on the hill side but getting there.

I'm bringing all the wood stacks to the top of the hill where it's flat so I can split it all easier. Still didn't get it all but getting close.

She crushed another run this morning.

A friend had sobe 4 year old gas they needed to dispose of so I burned it up. Then I continued splitting firewood. It was crazy hot today too so I'm exhausted now.

Splitting wood in my back yard today. Hopefully we will be able to sell some of it soon.

Still working around my driveway. We're trying to get it cleared out on the South side of the driveway so it can be more open to dry out quickly. We also want to plant some redbud trees and dogwoods along the tree line to make the driveway turn into a scenic drive. In this video, I push over some bigger trees and Kim wraps up the video using the log splitter.

Bought a 22 ton log splitter and got to use it for the first time. Used my skid steer to unload it and load it back up.

Spent a couple days, probably a good 5 hrs cutting this firewood. Now it's time for a log splitter!
