What Can You Expect From This Channel?
I wanted to put together a short video about what you can expect to find on the channel, a little about my background, and my views on healing and the body.
I know the body desperately wants to heal itself, and was Intelligently designed to heal itself. This is why I look for the building blocks that the body requires to rebuild and reorganize its structures and processes. When this is accomplished successfully, you will be amazed at the healing that can occur.

Dr. Clarke Saves a Foot From Amputation Without Using Drugs | Patient Success Story | Mr. Crnkovic
This is a 90 year old patient who was admitted to the hospital with aortic stenosis. His heart was having a difficult time pumping blood from his extremities and this resulted in lack of flow to his feet and hands.
He developed neuropathy and sores on his feet as well as toenail fungus. His hands were also dried and cracked because they couldn't heal. This was also apparent because his feet were very cold because the warm blood was not being recirculated.
So I utilized the biochemistry of what is required by the body to open the arteries and move the oxygen depleted blood from the hands and feet back to the lungs and heart.
Once I began my treatment, it was only a matter of 24 hours before his feet and hands began to warm up. Now that the blood is circulating as it should, we will be able to heal the lesions on his feet and hands, as well as address the fungal infection with the very same biochemistry.

OsteoBLAST Bone and Joint Health Supplement
Bone and joint health is a very real concern for many women, and quite a few men.
This is, in my opinion one of the best bone supplements on the market. There are a few good ones out there that contain some elements of OsteoBLAST, but the convenience of 2 pills per day makes this hard to beat. I created this supplement to specifically address people's concerns about their bone and cartilage health, and based on what the literature says about what the body needs to optimize it's natural process.

What They Aren't Telling You About Osteoporosis Medication
Many of my patients have come to me for rehabilitation after sustaining a fall and horrific fracture because their bones are so brittle that they shatter like a glass.
When they are put back together in the operating room, typically without my bone protocol, their healing times are significantly longer than normal.
This is a patient's story and a cautionary tale about why you shouldn't be on your bisphosphonates, or osteoporosis medications for too long.

Progesterone Increases Sex Drive In Men?!?! A Physician Neuroscientist Explains
It's commonly perceived as a "female hormone", but progesterone has a host of benefits in men. The ability to increase sex drive, build stronger bones, increase lean muscle mass, reduce body fat, and increase cognition are all reasons I use progesterone in my male patients.
A surprising benefit that I hear from the wives of my patients is that their husbands are now getting their "honey-do" lists completed, and in lieu of sitting on the couch with a remote in their hand, they often disappear into the garage to tinker on a project.

How To Measure a Concussion | A Physician Neuroscientist Explains
Concussions and brain injuries are notoriously difficult to objectively measure. CT scans and MRIs simply take pictures of large structures in the brain, and they can only detect bleeding, bruising, or fractures; but they cannot measure whether the cells are damaged. IMPACT testing doesn't give you a picture at all.
However, there is a machine called a WAVi that uses EEG to measure a brain's performance. The wonderful part about a WAVi is it uses EEG, which have been around forever, it's a quick test, and how portable it is. This is my preferred method of measuring a concussion or mTBI. Any brain injury for that matter. I also use it on my neurodegenerative disease patients with Alzhiemers, Parkinsons, MS, and ALS.
It is a wonderful tool.

Progesterone BHRT Misconceptions
I want to talk to you about hormone replacement therapy in women because when I use progesterone or estradiol as part of my treatment of neurologic disease, there is an immediate recoil in patients, families and age and sadly also among their doctors regarding its risks and benefits. It’s important to get this right for lots of reasons.
As a clinical practitioner, I use Progesterone and Estradiol as part of my treatment plan to combat these aspects of aging, with AMAZING results. Although initially, when I tell a patient of this treatment plan, I have received reactions that range from intrigue to horrified due to the misunderstanding of its risks and benefits.
Most are afraid that this treatment protocol will raise the chance for cancer and strokes from blood clotting. I want to address that invalid concern by referencing a massive study conducted by the Women’s Health Initiative from 1993 – 2002.

New Study Links Epstein-Barr Syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis
A new study out of Harvard University has tracked over 10 million military members to attempt to link the Epstein-Barr virus to Multiple Sclerosis. This study was published in Science in September.
Being that I am a researcher first, before I received my medical degree, I have had a hand in designing a few studies in my day.
These are my thoughts on the results of recent study.

Jenna Jameson's Recent Guilliain-Barré Diagnosis | A Neuroscientist Physician Explains
As a Physical Rehabilitation Medicine physician, as well as a PhD in neuropharmacology, I have been working with Guillain-Barré, or GBS patients for over 30 years. This syndrome affects many people very differently, with some experiencing weakness in their extremities, while others become completely paralyzed from the eyes down and need to be put on a ventilator.
I recently learned of Ms. Jameson's diagnosis, and I wanted to put out a short video on what GBS is, and what I use to treat my patients that become afflicted with this syndrome.

Is A Cholesterol Level of 580 Bad? A Neuroscientist Physician Explains
I've heard of "high cholesterol" numbers, believe me. People often say, "My cholesterol is 280", or "I take a statin, because my cholesterol is 320." But this one takes the cake. This gentleman was referred to me by one of the local cardiologists with a cholesterol of around 580, and I nearly choked on my spit. But here's the thing about cholesterol. It's not the villain. As I've stated before in my videos, the real villain is inflammation. This is precisely why the cardiologist and I are not worried about this guy's cholesterol level. We are keeping tabs on his inflammatory markers, such as C-reactive protein, calcium scores, and cardiac coronary scores. As long as those remain low, then he should be fine.

CoQ10, The Ultimate Antioxidant
I know that I keep putting content out on CoQ10, and there's a good reason for that. CoQ10 is a most fantastic molecule. Not many people realize that it is an antioxidant, and a an antioxidant stimulator. When vitamin C and vitamin E are taken, they are great antioxidants, however their mechanism of action involves them giving up their electrons in order to BE and antioxidant. After this happens, they are no longer antioxidants, however CoQ10 actually gives back vitamin C and vitamin E their electrons thereby re-instating their status as antioxidants. This is why it's such an amazing molecule.

Winning Combo For Brain Health
There are several substances that I think are a winning combination for overall brain health. CoQ10, with a few that I mention in the video are the ones that I use for brain injury, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. When you bring PQQ, Acetyl Carnitine, and the others that I mention, they work in symbiosis to increase the energy output of the mitochondria.
When the mitochondria is operating at peak levels, you get cellular healing. And this effect trickles up. When the cells begin to operate at their peak function, then the organ follows suit, and so does the organism.

The Best Supplements for Long Haulers Syndrome
I've been getting questions about what supplements I recommend for those suffering from Long Hauler's Syndrome. In this video, I'll break down some of the supplements in my patented neurochemical protocol that I believe will be beneficial for those afflicted with this illness.
Antioxidants, toxic neurotransmitter suppressors, and anti-inflammatories are discussed, as well as phospholipids. Also why these are so important to the cellular healing that needs to take place in the brain.

The Neurologic Destructive Sequence | Can It Be Stopped?
When brain damage occurs, whether it be sudden, like from a stroke or TBI, repetitive like boxing, or gradual from neurodegenerative diseases; the same sequence of events happen at the cellular level.
There are three almost immediate and predictable phases that brain cells endure during this destructive process, and Brett and I will detail these in this video.

What To Do About Long Haulers Syndrome
What is Long Hauler's Syndrome? How does it happen, and is there anything that can be done about it? In this video I discuss what happens on a cellular level, to someone affected by Long Hauler's, and what can be done about it.
This is a very biochemistry heavy video, but we will dive into the aspects of why this syndrome is reminiscent of Lyme Disease, the etiologies of the biochemical response, and my approach to repair.
