Our baby chick kept falling asleep in her food. The backstory to this, is after about 4 days of getting our chicks we noticed this one was chirping in distress and started getting a wry neck and she would run around in circles running into the walls. We isolated her and she would not eat or drink on her own so for a few days I had to give her a supplement water by hand and after 3 days I was very worried about her not eating or drinking on her own. I started giving her vegetable puree through a dropper as well. Her wry neck started to go away and one day shortly after she started drinking on her own! Then a day later she started eating her food so I was very happy. She slept a lot though during this time and this video was taken during that time. Some background behind this: A mama duck had babies in our neighborhood and they've grown up here with the whole street protecting them. They always chose to sleep in our yard and we had been watching them and feeding them as they grew up. Here they are being fed worms (which they go crazy over). In this video they couldn't fly yet but they've since are now fully grown and can fly and all but one has began their migration. The one still comes to our yard and pond that we have but will likely migrate soon. We took a trip to Borrego Springs.
