I Made a 1,000 Year Old Jewelry Piece! Making a Hohokam Shell Bracelet
The Hohokam culture consisted on a large civilization who created monumental structures throughout southern Arizona. Hohokam people were master craftspeople who created the largest irrigation systems in North America. In this video I examine the Hohokam timeline, give an overview of each period of time, and show some original artifacts from the Hohokam civilization. Once our discussion is complete, I take you step by step in crafting a Hohokam shell bracelet using the Glycymeris shell.
