The Paiute people and their traditional territory spanned wide and far throughout the American Southwest. Prior to colinial contact, Paiutes were master hunter gatherers. Following the seasons Paiutes would travel wide and far to gather enough resources to last through the frosted winter months. The three bow types Southern Paiutes used and crafted are recurved, double curved, and D-shaped. In this video we take you step by step in making the Paiute bow.
