In this Range Report I shoot and try out the Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield Plus. This is a subcompact 9mm pistol which is built around a compact double stack magazine. This version is the "standard" version and does not have a manual safety but has a milled out slide. Overall, it is built and shoots like any other M&Ps. This is an Italian revolver designed by Emilio Ghisoni who later went on to design the Unica Semi-Auto revolvers and the Chiappa Rhino revolvers. In this Field Strip video I show how to take apart and reassemble for cleaning and maintenance the CMMG Mk4 Dissent. This gun is similar in many ways to an AR-15 but also a Sig MCX. The bolt, bolt carrier and recoil spring assembly have a lot of small parts and might be difficult to get apart and put back together. In this Range Report, I get a special opportunity to shoot and review a rare pre-ban Chinese Norinco import of a Type 86S. There were only 2000 imported and this one is one of the first 100. This is a very collectible firearm and one that has a unique layout and build. However, like most bullpups, this one has a few drawbacks. In this Range Report I take a look at and review a CMMG Dissent pistol chambered .300 Blackout. This is a very compact AR-15 style firearm that is designed for CQB and personal defense. Mechanically this guns borrows from the AR-15 and Sig MCX with a buffer-less recoil operation but a direct impingement gas system. In this Range Report I revisit a pistol I reviewed over a year and a half ago but lost the video on. So I am taking another look at this higher end CZ that is designed with competition in mind. This pistol is the CZ Shadow 2 and is build on the CZ75 platform with many upgrades and a finely tuned trigger. This is an outstanding and very accurate gun. In this Range Report I shoot and review one really interesting old gun. I do not get opportunities like this very often. This is a Winchester Model 1894 chambered in 30-30. As you know I love guns with historical significance and guns with ties to American history. This rifle has both. In this Product Review I take a look at the side folding AR-15 lower receiver from 17 Design. This is a cool idea but I feel might not be as practical or needed on an AR like some may think. This seems to be a well designed and thought out product. It is a built in folding design. Unfortunately, as I am releasing this video, this company is no longer in business. This is a pistol that is a modernization of the original which I think has a few compromises built in. Like all other Daniel Defense firearms this pistol seems well built and high quality. In this video I field strip and show how I disassemble and reassemble the Rock Island Armory XTM-22. While this is a 1911 style pistol, due to the caliber and floating barrel it does come apart a little different and some people think it is a little difficult.
