Visiting AMG During Covid-19 for FIVE New AMG releases!! Including their biggest release ever… GLB45, no I’m kidding. XD I’m sure you can guess which one that is!!!
First ever Vlog on RBR since the new format, and it’s a trip to Stuttgart via Frankfurt to spend two days with Mercedes Benz and Mercedes AMG!
The first day also sees us visiting some special custom AMGs at the Center of Excellence in Sindelfingen including a 1 of 1 AMG GT C Roadster and S63 Cabriolet, as well as some other cool things we spot along the way!
The second day also features an old friend of the channel at AMG, no prizes for guessing who, yes engine master Michael Kübler himself! Mike looks around the new E63 S with us too, before I film the full first look. I was also very happy to note how awesome the engine note of the new GLE63 S was, I had fears it would be quiet but the press car sounded awesome!

2021 Mercedes AMG E63 S! First look with Mr.AMG!
FINALLY THE E63 has been updated!! Welcome back to RBR guys! The first #E63S is still the most popular car we have ever reviewed, and they have finally updated its look. Seemingly the last to the #MercedesAMG Panamericana grille party! It also comes with a whole host of new options and colours that we will explore. So let’s check out everything that’s changed!
While we were expecting some hybrid element in this like the E53 and GLE63S recently revealed, AMG have kept the E63 fully ICE much like the recently unveiled New M5. Music to the ears of petrol heads... for now! Some changes in the E63S’ weakest area however: suspension, all detailed in the review. And some really huge interior changes like the new AMG super sports steering wheel and controls along with the long lauded MBUX system.

2020 911 Turbo S Cabriolet! The Porsche Turbo to Lust after!
2020 911 Turbo S Cabriolet is more Porsche GT, and frankly more Everything! So guys welcome back to Remove Before Race, and to what is our first time having a new Porsche close to its world premiere release! It’s the chopped top version of a car that has struck fear into the hearts of super and hyper car owners in every generation, and this ballistic new 911 Turbo S now takes things to the next level.
The history of the 911 Turbo is vast and intriguing, It’s a car that’s not only been revamped 7 times over the last 40 years but has cemented itself as a pop culture icon, and thus next month on RBR I’ll be doing a full review of the Turbo S Coupé where we will delve into the history and impact of the car!
But you don’t need all that with the cabriolet. What you do need to know, is what’s changed in the 992 Turbo vs the previous 991.2 Turbo S, and what removing the roof adds or detracts from the experience while driving it as intended!
So we will compare it both to the 991.2 Turbo S Cab, and in part to the coupe!That previous car was already fast: 572BHP, 700NM, 2.9 secs! That was conservative official figures too. Now power wise that’s beyond GT3, and in terms of speed it’s already nipping at the heals of things with the prefix hyper. So where does one go from here?
Naturally, customer feedback! Dr Walliser of 911 model lines, said feed back was that the previous car was an ultra-fast cruiser, but purists to optted for the GTS or GT3. So his team has worked hard to make the new Turbo S more appealing as a driver’s car.
And it’s a beast this new 992 Turbo Cabriolet! 650PS, 800NM and 0-60 in 2.8 seconds!! Now 0-200 is a whole second quicker than before, and these are simply hypercar speeds! For the first time an upgraded sports exhaust and sports suspension are offered too.
The new Engine is based on 991 generation, but deemed as whole new. I’ll dissect it in our usual RBR style, to show you wants changed and what’s shared with GT2 RS!
Will the changes be enough to remove the old assumption of a fast but frankly soulless car?

2020 AMG E53 Coupé!! A Proper AMG Facelift!
Brutal Looking Facelift AMG E Coupé! Welcome back to RBR guys! The first #E53 was one of the most popular cars we have ever reviewed, and today I get to show you the update of this beastly looking coupe! You guys ready? Let’s dive into the new facelifted AMG E53 based on the new #ecoupe !!
The previous car we found to be one of the best looking AMG coupes around, better than even the CLS. The twin bar amg grille looked great, and the twin pipes on the rear gave it that AMG flavour. Sound was lacking however, and newer AMG’s simply looked more aggressive.
But now look at this monster. Looking like a proper AMG, I bet Tobias Moers is feeling vindicated at this point with this car showing the world why having this grille on all AMGs really helps sell the story! Sadly he’s not left to join Aston as their new CEO!
Theres some big design changes up front, like a Smaller AMG grille, with a border. Dark Chrome on the vertical lines for the first time too, encased by a Lower “Double A Wing” by AMG. Then the Facelift changes, like the controversial new lights! And though the rear hasn’t changed hugely like the sedan did, it’s still looking epic!
Power is the same at 429BHP plus the EQ boost starter alternator giving another 21BHP and 250BHP! But there’s one package you MUST GET which changes the game! This pack separates this car from the preface lift on a technical basis, DO NOT miss it in the video! Oh and the #mercedesamg performance exhaust ;)

TRANSFORMED! My C63 Black Series in Launch Spec!!
#AMG Solarbeam Yellow C63 Black for #Eid!! So guys welcome back to RBR! Many years ago, I fell in love with a certain yellow car on Top Gear. It was the then new #C63 AMG Black Series coupé being manhandled by Jeremy Clarkson and The Stig, and it’s an image that was etched into my mind!
Sadly, when the car itself was released to customers the launch spec both inside and out was not forthcoming to customers, unless you were ready to pay an additional £50k while having your car stripped apart!! Disappointment for myself and many others. Another colour from launch that i loved was Magno Night Black, also on a press car but this time the UK one, its even still on fleet to this day! That was a colour available to customers, but had very low uptake as people back then were nervous about matte paint.
So when I bought the car of my dreams some two years ago, I decided beforehand that I would transform it to the Launch Solarbeam Yellow spec eventually. And this is Stage 1 of the transformation!!
Now a colour change can be done in quite a few ways these days, the best of which is of course a full respray. But AMG would charge around 30k for this, and independents probably half this, meaning you need Bruce Wayne monies. Next best option is car dipping, with peelable paint but again the costs are very high, around a 5 figure sum in the UK!
So that leaves us with Vinyl! What’s great about this is we can protect the original paintwork and leave this project as 100% reverseable. Vinyl has also come a long way, and with Dub Customs I was able to create a colour vinyl wrap match based on the paint of AMG Solarbeam!

So guys welcome back to RBR, now last time a GT product featured here it was the GT2 RS, the most powerful 911 ever, aka 911 GB. Often in that review I mentioned the GT3RS, as the car that most people prefer despite the power of the GT2 so it’s only fair that it make an appearance - so today we look at the 991.2 GT3 RS!
I love how many of the Porsche press cars are so beloved that they have internal nicknames. We had “Ron’ the burgundy Panemera Hybrid, 911 GB of course and today’s car is lovingly referred to as OPR. And they’re pretty infamous for appearing on the best motoring content.
To begin we must look at the origins of Porsche RS cars. The new rennsport is so important at porsche, and as some of the best road going product, began as a needed product for racing homologation. So we will go from the 1973 Carrera RS all the way to todays car!
Speaking of today’s car, it ONLY has 520BHP and 420nm: sounds like not much at all considering the 2RS has 700 bhp! Just wait and see, much like the Cup car its closely related to, power isn’t everything you need! But you’ll only really understand that, when you see me scream like a little girl!

2020 GLC 43! New Teeth & New Bite!!
FINALLY the GLC 43! So far on RBR we have tested the GLC63S in both pre facelift and updated versions, and found the facelift to be better in every area other than sound. Not to mention that crazy loud car in Abu Dhabi! We also tried this car’s elder sibling the GLE53 and fell in love with how much AMG DNA exists within it. But never tried the previous GLC 43!
So today let us take a look at the facelift GLC 43 coupe and see what’s changed!
Firstly: What is a 43 car? They exist in the same entry level family as the 35 and 53 AMG cars, but for the mid size C Class family. That means this car has the V6 Bi Turbo engine as seen in C43. But in the facelift this has been upped to 390BHP an increase of 23HP, with the 520nm, and a 4.9 0-60 - all thanks to software updates mainly!
It is of course all wheel drive too: using the 4MATIC system which is mildly rear-biased split of 31 to 69percent. Though, not the 100% variable 4Matic + you’d find in both the GLC63S and GLE53!
The looks have taken a big upgrade on the front, with a whole new Facia for the GLC. Gone is the smiley face of old, replaced with the angry one started by the GT family, compare to the previous 43, and there’s a big visual update and we will explore all these changes today too! In the UK we get three different ordering options, which we will also explore.
So a certain injection of more AMG flavour into this facelift, but will it prove itself worthy of the AMG badge?! Today we explore:

Sadly, the rumours are true, the next C63 has lost the V8. Probably forever, and this makes it the latest victim of the new automotive age. Known for its bombastic soundtrack, the C Class AMG series has always held a special place in the hearts of all petrol heads, and this news now threatens its standing with us all
It’s not all bad news though, there’s a lot of changes and factors to unpack, so today I’m going to give you the first info we know not only about the next C63, but also the replacement for the C43. So let’s explore the future of Mercedes AMG’s C63!
So you may have heard that the new 206 model of C Class is taking a huge leap forward, particularly inside with borrowings from the new S Class, and an updated MRA platform which is likely more spacious inside. But the real news has been the fate of the C63.
Many cars and manufacturers are undergoing downsizing, across the board, and it’s no surprise that AMG will have to follow suit. But this news has slowing been causing a storm within the AMG community, with some flat out in denial rejecting the news, and others citing it as the doom for AMG.
So why is this so important specifically for the C63, other than the obvious?
To understand that, all we have to do is take a casual look at C Class AMG history - or rather the history of AMG brutality It’s always been about a brutish engine in a small car. Then I will go through all the news and rumours regarding both the New Hybrid 4 Cylinder C63S and the New C43, what could be called the AMG C53.

2020 RSQ3 Sportback! Little Hulk from Audi Sport!

Welcome back to RBR guys, and to this New Hulk from Audi Sport! It was the first car to start the compact performance SUV trend, and today we’re looking at the new generation Sportback version RSQ3!
So back in 2013 a small performance SUV was not a thing, and people were only just getting their head around the idea of these little crossover cars. Enter the RSQ3 concept, a very production ready looking concept which showcased the first ever SUV that the then named “Audi Quattro” company had ever meddled with. This eventually made production a year later, and as the concept previewed had a 2.5 ltr 5 cylinder turbo engine, like the RS3 and Group B Rally cars of old, and though the Macan and GLB45 were close to production the Audi RSQ3 established the segment first!
It was a pretty good package too, with looks close enough to the concept, and one of the world’s best sounding and performing engines powering a small SUV that drove more like a hatchback.
Then came this, generation 2! Based on the VW MQB Platform, the new RSQ3 is a much more aggressive looking vehicle in line with the more ferocious styling Audi Sport is applying to it’s product portfolio, like the new RS4 and RS6.
The best bit: Audi carries on the award winning engine from the previous version and the current RS3 and TTRS, the awesome 2.5l 5 Cyl petrol single turbo, but this time producing 400BHP! The Engine is now 26kg lighter too, though sadly the Fuel particulate filter is in, which means less pops and bangs, don’t despair though its not all bad news on sound.
The RS sport suspension lowers the body by a half inch vs a normal car, get the RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and the ride improves.
As for the sport back - it’s 45 millimeters LOWER, and uncommonly unique from a pillar onwards. Wheel arches, which have been flared by half an inch. But you don’t lose any bootspace!
But are the changes enough to make it stand out in a fiercely competitive niche? Has the OPF dulled the wonderful engine, and is the Sportback even a good idea?! Today we explore:

New AMG A45S! The 60k Super Hatch Worth Every Penny!!

Welcome back to RBR guys! Now we’ve featured the new genre A Class AMG heavily with the engine tour, 4Matix+ Drift Mode on ice, and the last time on track in Spain. But today is finally the definitive test drive! It’s a car that AMG cars a super sports car in the compact segment, and it is the AMG A45S 4matic+!
So you guys know how the A45 story goes right? It was originally a big tangent for AMG to explore, a company that was better known for fast saloons and Supercars. In 2013 they released the original A45 AMG, a little hatchback with 380 BHP and 475NM feeding a front biased AWD system! It should never have worked, but it was a big hit with customers. Heck it’s car I still own today, I re-bought it recently after missing it so much (you saw the collection video right?) and the reasons behind its success is something we will explore in great depth when I review my old car very soon! But in short, it’s got speed, fun handling, AMG DNA inside and out and a bloody awesome soundtrack!
But it had its limits. Tech is low, understeer exists, gearbox and engine are old school in Turbo response and it’s nothing you’d ever dare call super sports car. Then came the A35 of this new generation, and without being exhaustive : it’s the exact same formula as that previous car even sharing many components, except with less power coming from a non- hand built engine.
SO you will often hear people say or comment that why bother with the much more expensive 45S when the A35 is a damn good car?? Today we humour those people and let’s explore that idea, by turning an A35 into an A45S!
In essence, everything changes. That engine first of all is completely new and will likely form the basis for the future the 4 Cylinder C63 too. It’s a 4 cylinder twin scroll turbo like the engine before it, but shares no parts with it. Instead it’s rotated 180 to allow better cooling via a more aerodynamic structure and 3 stages of cooling. The engine revs to 7200 rather than 6500, and produces a massive 421 BHP in this model, with 500 nm and a sub 4 second 0-60 on the heels of AMG GT, making power to weight exceed many supercars!
So is it a proper super hatch? Is the 60K price tag justified? And what about Chris Harris’ A45S comments?! Today we explore:

BMW X6M competition! - So Long, Urus!
Subscribe and help our unique car show grow!! 😈 Hey guys welcome back to RBR! And it’s time for some more M Power!! With the Original Performance Sports Activity Vehicle, the X6M! The market for Coupé performance SUVs is now one of the most hotly contested in the industry, with smaller Performance SUVs like the Stelvio and GLC63 battling over the top spot on the ring, then the huge RSQ8 becoming the fastest in the world, along side the emergence of the Urus Super SUV from Lamborghini, the new DBX and the upcoming SUV Ferrari. Oh and the bulbous looking Tesla model X (I blow it up for your enjoyment).
But where other factors may come in with the battle between the standard SUVs like X5 and GLE, in the Coupé SUV arena it’s all about design! Because the Coupé customer is looking for the most sporty and muscular Looking suv they can get their hands on!
Enter the original, the BMW X6! First in concept form, Reception to the car on its original release was cold by many, asking why you’d ever want an SUV that’s less practical! Yet slowly but surely every manufacturer has followed suit, with the GLE, Q8 and even Cayenne Coupé. I too fell prey and have had a host of suv coupes in the recent past
There have been a number of X5/6 M cars in the last two gens, but as I said things had hotted up since this car arrived with smaller cheaper cars: now enter Gen 3! Simply put, it’s a beast: 625 BHP, 750nm and a hugely improved 3.8 0-60. This is now treading the heels of the so called Super SUV Urus.
Of course power is only one side of the equation: the car also has M Xdrive variable all wheel drive, and much more. But is it enough to help this car stand out vs the small fast SUVs, and even tackle the super SUV genre? Today we explore:

NEW 2020 AMG E53 and E Class! First Look with Mr AMG!
Welcome back to RBR guys and today we can take the covers off the new E Class facelift, a facelift that’s the most significant for E-Class since the w212 major facelift, and since the car’s inception! And today we’re looking at both the AMG Line and a significant update to the new AMG E53 Sedan!
For the first 213, continued the treatment of the two light graphic from the previous 211 and 212 E Classes, with two strong eyebrows. It’s a much more muscular car than previous E Classes, though the design took criticism from many for being too similar to both C and S Class: despite Mercedes arguing that all Mercedes should look the same.
Enter this new facelift, the biggest one ever visually. Completely changing the look of both the front and the rear of the car making it almost unrecognisable! Mercedes concentrated on three main areas of changes - Design, New engines, and Intelligence!
As for the E 53, it’s a car that we originally found to be more Mercedes than AMG, the facelift of the E Class brings more AMG DNA into the equation, So now we’re going to look at every juicy detail of the new AMG E53! The first entry level E Class AMG was the E43, a raw sounding V6 turbo car, with not much to scream about in AMG design. With standard petrol engine style exhaust tips with a line between them, and a diamond AMG Grille.
The updated AMG E53 came shortly after following in the footsteps of the CLS 53 we reviewed. Now with quad round pipes but the no the benefit of the twin grille of the coupe, it had a seriously sweet inline six EQ boost hybrid engine - more on this later.
But the design problem remained, as did the car’s lean towards normal Mercedes rather than AMG. By the end of it’s life most entry level AMG’s had either the twin bar grille, or even the full AMG grille as in the GT53. Pair those things together, and it wasn’t much of an AMG experience.
Enter this new facelift! And boy has the design changed, AMG have injected the necessary DNA to help the look of the new E53, let’s explore it all!

Welcome back to RBR and to AMG’s most important modern release. This car may seem like just another fast saloon for AMG customers, but it’s much more, this is a car that unifies two separate sides of AMG. Mercedes AMG has historically always had two main product lines: Brutal Mercedes Saloons, like the red pig, Hammer, and modern E63S and the Pure Sports cars, the 300SL, SLS AMG and AMG GT!
But this GT 4 door is the first product, to unify those two worlds into one single vehicle, with the greatest breadth of ability that any AMG has ever had.
Historically the fastest AMG saloon has always been the E63, the modern one with 612BHP from the 4.0 Bi Turbo, going to all four wheels as well as the famed drift mode it introduced beginning a trend amongst its rivals So the question for the GT63S is: how does one top what’s already one of the worlds the prime performance saloons? And that’s what we look at today!
And the differences vs E63 are significant: 640BHP power, use of Carbon reinforced plastic, increased rigidity, Active Aero from AMG GT R and even the rear wheel steering as introduced in that car.
All of this allowed the car to hit 7:25:41 on the Ring, making it the most powerful four seater on the ring! That means it’s as fast as an SLS Black Series and Ferrari enzo, while being faster than the 812 superfast, and Porsche Carrera GT… in a 2 tonne 5 seater family car!

The series that saved Porsche! Guys we’ve had a real blast having explored the other main stays of the modern Porsche line up, but we have yet to touch on the cars that probably saved the brand: so today we explore the origins of the entry level line up of the sports car brand, while looking at the New 718 Cayman GTS! We’ll also check out the sound of the new 2020 GTS with the 6 cylinder 4.0 engine!
Now the original Entry level to Porsche was the 911. That was pretty much all porsche originally built in the early 90’s, alongside some other low volume highly priced cars like the transaxle 928. But when a worldwide financial slump hit, Porsche surely felt the effect of this being on the verge of doom in 1992.
Entered new CEO Wendelin Wiedeking! Rather than bank on the low volume 989 4 door car, Wiedeking said that the sub 40k sports car segment was 6 times larger the the 911 and would provide Stability to porsche in difficult times by doubling production numbers.
And what he imagined was the Porsche Boxster concept. Part sharing with the 911 996, it was “the first Porsche developed with a priority on efficient assembly”: but what they really mean is low cost and high profit! Porsche’s production numbers swelled to triple making it the highest selling porsche ever, And so the successful new series grew in both variations and then project 987c: aka the Cayman Coupé!!
Today we have the “New” 718, the latest iteration of the entry level Porsche. Renamed to 718, as It’s lost two cylinders, going from a naturally aspirated flat-6 engine to a turbocharged 2.5 flat-4 engine. Shock and horror at it’s introduction, all versions featured the 4 cyl unless it was GT product
Including this first GTS with only 16BHP more than the Cayman S and the same 0-60 and performance figures all around...
But luckily for us petrolheads and Porsche fans, in an unprecedented twist of fortune Porsche have JUST announced that the 2020 718 GTS will now get the 4.0 6 Cylinder as found in the GT4!! Albeit detuned, the new engine is 395 BHP meaning a significant 50BHP bump over the S. The 0-60 is very close to the GT4 cars and the engine revs to 7800 rpm now.

Yet Another AMG Niche?! Welcome back to RBR guys and today we’re taking a look at the first of two SUVs in the new generation of Mercedes Compact cars, and it’s the unexpected GLB Class. We have had a GLA in the past as Mercedes’s compact SUV, but this is not the replacement of that car, rather this is a traditional estate shaped SUV, with the option of 7 Seats!
Now: Yes It’s got the AMG specific grille, I guessed when the GLE53 that the grille would form part of ever AMG regardless of engine going forward, that seems to be the case and I expect it on all 35’s when they are face-lifted eventually.
This GLC sized A Class Platform SUV is the first proper SUV shaped car in the Mercedes compact line up. It seems purposely more upright, squarer, especially in the windscreen and passenger cell, being almost G wagon like, much like the old square GLK.
And this GLB35 specifically occupies a niche of it’s own, being the only performance compact 7 seater currently available. It has the same 35 AGM flavour of 306BHP from the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, allowing a respectable 0-60 of 5.2.
But will this be enough to call the GLB 35 a proper AMG like it’s A35/CLA35 siblings?

New AMGs are MUCH LOUDER abroad! Non-EU GLC63S Coupe!
Loud New AMG’s Still exist in the world! Welcome back to RBR guys with a sunny New Year From Abu Dhabi and Dubai! The last time I reviewed the GLC63S SUV, we loved the facelift changes but were left cold by the reduced sound of the exhaust due to noise regulations in Europe.
However from the first turn of this Non-EU spec GLC63S, it was clear that theres a totally different exhaust system and software here! So I will compare this to the pre facelift and Facelift EU version of the car!
In terms of the new changes, those included MBUX, touchpad, digital screens and a more varied exterior design; one we will compare to the previous gen car! There were some mechanical changes too: with all AMG models coming with e-diff, AMG Dynamics software introduced to better vary the suspension and dynamics based on driving mode, and the power and states remain the same with 510BHP and 700NM!
The changes allowed the GLC 63 S to retake the Nürburgring record away from Stelvio Quadrifoglio, with a time of 7.49 meaning it was the fastest SUV on the ring in the world; now Audi has beaten that record with a much more expensive and powerful RSQ8, meaning the GLC is still class leader.
I’ll also show you why the GLC63S is the car to have in the UAE or any other country. Year round usage, clever 100% torque variable 4wd. A few seconds behind the fastest SUV in the world (a much more expensive and powerful car) mixed with the best sounding turbo V8 with the updated MBUX... it’s the most bang for buck any AMG can give you!

2020 CLA 35! Why it's the BEST entry level AMG!!
Welcome back to RBR guys! We’re at the home of #MercedesAMG in Affalterbach today, to talk about what could be the best entry level #AMG you can buy... the new #CLA35 4matic!!
Now last time we looked at the A35, I described how the car felt like a super transformation vs a standard A just like you’d hope for with an AMG: SO when we tested the CLA45S I was expecting the same next level from the A35... but we didn’t experience it at least not with sound. Undoubtedly better dynamically with great neutral handling, and with an incredibly responsive engine but we were left cold on exhaust sound.
That got me thinking, where does the CLA35 then stand? Surely it’s the tastiest compact AMG you can buy? Something we mused over in the standard CLA video too! This is what we will explore today!
Now to give you the basics: The previous entry level 4 door sedan was the AMG C43. With a V6 bi turbo attached to a standard 4 Matic, it’s like a 35 version of the C Class, with little to nothing shared with C63. Whereas the CLA35 takes the winning DNA of a previous flagship CLA45 AMG and makes it it’s own!

911 GT2 RS - A Tale of the Widow Maker!
Porsche‘s Most Powerful 911 ever!! The Legendary GT2 RS!
When a 911 Turbo S isn’t enough, this is what is born! RIP our the front drive shafts, add more power, aero and a crazy body and thus is born the ultimate #Porsche from Weissach!!
Today we explore the history of the GT2, starting from the “Turbo S Lightweight” of the 964 Generation! A proof in concept of the GT2. To the first, the 993 GT2 back in 1993, a motorsport special of which only 57 were built, required to be made for Porsche to compete in GT2 division.
Then the 996 GT2... the #WidowMaker!! And every version leading up to today’s 991.2 GT2 RS!
Unlike the GT3 and RS which have the natural 4.0 engine: this has the Turbo’s 3.8-litre engine, Revs to a lower 7,200rpm Bigger turbos give 118bhp the Turbo S, also a water-spray system to cool downtemps in the frunk!
This generates 700 PS or 690BHP and 750nm
And a 0-60 of 2.7 seconds: insane figures! It allowed it a Nurburgring time of 6.47, at its inception being the fastest car in the world.
The car we are testing has the Weissach package, which reduces weight by 30kg thanks to more use of carbon-fibre and titanium parts. The package also includes a gorgeous set of magnesium wheels!
My favourite bit: the exhaust! The damned exhaust valves, are at the END of the pipes. THE END OF THE PIPES!!!

Why the GLE 53 Gives me Hope for AMG! 2020 Full Review
A Loud New AMG?! Not a V8?! There’s hope for us yet!! Welcome back to RBR and once again this is the new GLE 53 4matic+, the in-line 6 turbo AMG with Hybrid EQ boost!
Today it’s finally time for the full #MercedesAMG #GLE 53 review on Road here in Austria! We will finally explore the dynamics, sound and overall experience of driving the 53. The GLE Coupé looks like a full 63 version, with the new more aggressive design language if the 53 cars sharing cues with the flagships.
We have 435BHP 520nm on tap, with a EQ hybrid boost of a further 22BHP and 250nm: allowing for a 0-60 of 5.2 seconds. We also have a fully variable power in the AMG 4matic+ all wheel drive system.
The car also has the new AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL air suspension, based on AMG Ride control+, allowing for body control in 1000’svof a millisecond!! It’s now part of the GLE 53’s “dynamic plus pack” also giving larger red callipers like the 63 cars, dinamica alcantara steering wheel and the AMG control switches.

I Bought 2 Old AMGs! Why they‘re BETTER and LOUDER!
UNVEILING MY TWO NEW (OLD) LOUD #MercedesAMG cars!! Welcome back to Remove Before Race guys!! And today is a personal video but one sharing a feeling and fear we all fear: the future of performance cars!
I’ve bought two Old AMGs for my permanent collection, as newer cars are becoming quieter thanks to EU regs imposing emission controls and noise regulations: the dreaded OPF in the New C63S and most new cars as an example!
First car of my permanent collection is the C63 black - the C63 has always been to me the quintessential AMG, taking a standard Mercedes and shoehorning a huge 6.2 litre engine! That engine is the highlight, still used in today’s GT3 racing car so a worthy first entry.
Now To join the collection: the #AMG C63 S Coupé Motorsport Edition 1!! I love the C63S of the 205 gen, and I had always figured another like this would be made which i’d wait for... BUT sadly the C63R or whatever it was to be called has been cancelled! 🤐 And then the news of the next C63 being 4 cylinder... pushed me over. Video on that topic coming soon! I tried the new facelift car, which has better suspension, AMG dynamics, digital interior and updated looks: BUT it’s quieter like all new cars are required to be!
So I bought the Pre facelift Edition 1 inspired by the insane C63 DTM racing car. It’s a loud one with sound near on GT R levels! Unlike the 204 series, this is a much more dynamic car thanks to dynamic engine mounts as seen in the GT R, & the engine is the same family as the AMG GT R with the Hot V engine producing 510BHP! Before it came out we all worried the shift to turbo would mean bad sound, but this incredible and unhindered 4.0 V8 is louder than the black in most situations! Like the the black, it has a unique front and rear wide body vs the normal.
Next is the original A45: every stable needs a great hot hatch: and while the A45S is a sports car in the compact segment, that’s not necessarily what makes a great hot hatch! The A45 was a disruptive product, one that worries AMG customers as it was new territory, but one that eventually became one of the most fun and loud cars they’ve ever made!

Mercedes Maybach GLS 600!! Merc’s Cullinan Fighter!
THE #MERCEDESMAYBACH SUV!! The first series Production Maybach, not from S Class, to join the Maybach Family: this is the 2020 Mercedes #Maybach GLS 600!!
Maybach as a brand has evolved over the years, and this new GLS Maybach is perhaps the first clear indication of the change for the brand. Originally a separate luxury unit for Mercedes Benz, creating cars like the Maybach 57 and 62: during the brand reshuffling in 2013 it was renamed as “Mercedes Maybach”, much like the renaming of AMG to Mercedes AMG.
This seemed to me a smart move, AMG is well understood by customers to be a performance company which has its own design language, technical developments and customer expectations, based on Mercedes cars. Maybach too needed to sit as a trim level but in its own right: a Mercedes, but with a much higher focus on Ultimate Luxury, comfort technologies and the customer expectations that follow!
So let’s go from the S560 Maybach, Maybach G 650 Landaulet, Vision 6 and Ultimate Luxury Concept all the way to the new GLS 600!
This GLS makes the future of Maybach clear: we have taken a Mercedes GLS base car and applied Maybach DNA to it, to create a car that is familiar but clearly with a luxury focus. The GLS 600 Engine is AMG sourced, the 4.0 V8 but with a unique output for the GLS 600 of 550 BHP, 730nm and a further electric EQ boost of 21BHP!
The car has a completely bespoke interior trim level, with everything covered in high quality nappa leather and numerous wood finishes; there’s even a unique Maybach digital driver zone! The car comes standard with E Active Suspension, PAF comfort package and acoustic comfort package.
But the real story is in the rear, with the S Class Pullman level second row with HUGE space in the rear. You’ll see the seats, which are like cocoons in this 4 seat version (5 seat also available) as well as MBUX in the rear with a touch screen tablet and the new large rear entertainment screens.

Aston DBX: 007’s SUV is here!! First look
The ASTON #DBX is here!! The last car of the Second century of #AstonMartin following on from DB11, Vantage and DBS: the DBX is the company’s first fully fledged 5 seater, and SUV, and it comes at a time where the company is looking to rocket into the future. Can DBX propel AML to where it wants to go?
We first saw the Concept DBX, which was more like a DB11 on stilts: whereas “The Adventurer” is a much more practical traditional off roader. Built in new St Athans plant in wales on a New SUV platform, clean sheet design bonded aluminium platform just like the sports cars Aston make! Making the DBX unique in class.
DBX is about breadth of ability - Aston call it an SUV with the soul of a sports car. it seals to achieve this with Triple volume air suspension,
48v anti roll system, And a more powerful engine with AMG’s uprated V8 at 542BHP and 700NM.
We will also explore the Design: with the Classic Grille of Aston Martin, Classic style lights And every area where design means aerodynamic requirements.
Then onto the interior which is much like DB11, but beyond with Interior spaciousness as the focus from the outset in this clean sheet platform. Each interior takes 200 hours of hand crafting, and we will show you every detail!

G800 Brabus!! The most BRUTAL AMG G63!

This car comes from Sandown Brabus in the UK, the Mercedes dealer based UK Brabus centre, who also took us on our special factory tour. Brabus is of course one of the world’s most respected tuning houses, renowned for it’s crazy upgrades to Mercedes Benz and Mercedes AMG cars.
Founded in 1977 by the late Bodo Buschmann, as with many companies began from the desire to customise his own cars, but wanted to do it to his own tastes and thus founded Brabus with his friend Klaus Brackmann. Bra from Brackmann and Bus from Buschmann, and it also being the double B you see in the now iconic logo!!
The mission, get the maximum performance out of a car taking it to it’s mechanical limit, alongside unique aggressive design and individualisation.
They’ve created some monsters like the CLS based Brabus Rocket 800, which was the worlds fastest sedan in 2012, as well as icons like the 6x6 Brabus, and even have a hand in building the Maybach Pullman for Mercedes Benz
But the G wagon has always been their bread and butter, and the one we attribute most to Brabus’s work as petrol heads. The tuning program for the New G63 starts with an entry level G700, with the B40 700 plug and play box giving 700HP. But today we’re looking at the flagship G800 Widestar!
800 Horsepower! 1000 Newton meters! Madness anywhere else, but just the norm at for a G Wagon from the crazy guys at #Brabus!
