About the Movie:
Dune: Part Two is a 2024 American epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts. The sequel to Dune (2021), it is the second film in Villeneuve's adaptation of the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert, and it follows Paul Atreides as he unites with the Fremen people of the desert planet Arrakis to wage war against House Harkonnen. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardemreprise their roles from the first film, with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux joining the ensemble cast.

Content VS Film: The Battle For Your Attention
Content is slowly ruining film - as well as your attention span with it. With a society that would rather watch a 60-second dance video as opposed to a challenging drama movie, it got me thinking about how platforms like TikTok and YouTube are conditioning audiences to not actively engage with their content. We all just want a distraction from real life instead of artistic cinema that makes us think. Studios know this and it is effecting movie production and distribution through the use of algorithms and artificial intelligence. Content is killing REAL artistic film.

Where have all the big spectacle event movies with substance gone? With Oppenheimer becoming so successful and even joining the billion dollar club, it gives me hope for Hollywood's future. Finally, it seems that audiences are waking up and not accepting empty and bloated blockbusters, but rather demanding more from these widely distributed studio tentpoles. Comic book films, popular IPs and proven franchises took a backseat at the box office this past year and I think this could lead to some positive change for cinema...
