Almost four month old Maddie the Great Dane joined our family, two years ago today. Maddie had quite the welcoming committee into our hearts & our lives as Maddie's wonderful Sevenhawk Great Dane breeders brought her over just after Lady Darla, Radar & Eva had arrived for their annual Thanksgiving vacation. Happy Gotcha Day Maddie!

Maddie the Great Dane has discovered Mom's Fa la la la decorating & baking boxes & is enjoying a little foraging . Watch & laugh as Mom discovers Maddie with the Christmas rolling pin & negotiates its release with a trade for treats. Jack watches as Maddie nails three for three catches!

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes & Jack the Cat are enjoying Mom's Fa la la la laing decorating. Watch & enjoy as the girls relax as Mom checks out the newly decorated Squirrel theme Christmas decorations. Maddie & Ellie are resting up for the arrival of Squirrel Patrol from Michigan. Radar, Eva & Nora will be arriving shortly for a Danesgiving Florida vacation & lots of Christmas photos. What could possibly go wrong with five Great Danes & a Squirrel on top of the Christmas tree....lol

Maddie the Great isn't all that interested in hats, unless someone else is wearing the hat. Watch & laugh as Maddie sneaks up behind Ellie & swipes her turkey hat. Maddie was almost foiled by the elastic chin strap, but with a Boing!! was able to make her getaway before running in Jack the Cat Police. Caught on camera & busted!

Maddie the Great Dane loves to take her toys out to play. Watch & laugh as Maddie has great fun taking Mr Gorilla out for a run in the yard, tossing him air & playing catch & fetch by herself. Mom & Ellie recognize the sound of galloping Great Dane feet & give Maddie a clear path to run. Ellie prefers a more relaxed start to her morning enjoying a sniff of the Mum plants.

Ellie the Great Dane has an odd, but comfy napping position. Watch & laugh as Ellie enjoys a rainy day in Florida, enjoying a nap with her head on the table. Ellie wakes up long enough for Mom to give her a pillow for under her head. Maddie is comfy on the love seat & Jack is on the office chair as they all enjoy rainy weather nap time.

Jack the Cat & Maddie the Great Dane are always interested in Mom's Fa la la la la projects. Tis the Season to begin decorating & Mom likes to pass on tips she has discovered. Before installing the Twinkle Fairy lights, make sure to test them & trim off the tags when they come out of the box. For ease in wrapping the lights around a Christmas tree or in our case, Palm Trees (sorry northern friends) roll the lights up in balls to prevent them from tangling up while they are circling the tree. Alternate balls with the plug in cord in or out of the ball, so one strand will join up to another easily & quickly depending on their required location.

Minivans are a wonderful mode of transport for multi passenger seating & leaning when five of the eight passengers are Great Danes. Watch & laugh as Mom who is riding in the rear jump seat with Ellie, watches & laughs as Nora, Maddie, Radar & Eva all recognize they are just down the road from Florida Home & all lean into the corners before a mass clown car style Great Dane exodus. Looking forward to another Danetastic mini van ride when the Michigan Squirrel Patrol come to visit soon.

Chef Maddie the Great Dane is always up to taste a new recipe. Watch & enjoy as Chef Maddie in her festive Buffalo Plaid apron, enjoys a taste of Mom's latest recipe experiment.....a Beer Can Turkey. Mom has used the "Chicken" Beer for roast chickens & figured a turkey is just a Great Dane size Chicken...lol It required a little trimming of the cavity & some balancing on the beer holder & a really solid roasting pan but once Turkey was in the oven, it browned & roasted up beautifully. Vertical roasting allows all sides of the birdie to brown with tender & moist meat. Chef Maddie & Mom are in for another Fa La La La La Beer Can turkey.

Maddie the Great Dane loves to supervise the Roomba Cleaning Robot. Watch & laugh as Maddie turns Roomba on & off with her nose & toes & then decides to give the Robot a two foot pounce & go for a little ride before more on & offing. Go Roomba for surviving another fun almost cleaning session with a 140 lb / 64 kg Great Dane!

Maddie the Great Dane loves their new caterpillar toy. Watch & laugh as Maddie has fun playing under Mr C, swinging him around the room & nibbling on his legs. So Mr C, the super soft jumbo caterpillar has all his appendages.

Warning: Yawning is contagious. You may be yawning along with Maddie. Maddie the Great Dane loves our new Florida Fall weather; it is perfect for lounging on the lanai. For those not familiar with Florida design, a lanai is the best room in the house for 6 - 7 months of the year. A lanai is a totally screened deck with an open screen roof which allows enjoyment of the beautiful weather without any bugs! Watch & enjoy as Maddie enjoys her afternoon nap time relaxing on Maddie ( & Mom's ) favorite chair & ottoman.

The new bedding in the guest suite has received the two paws up approval from Ally Cat, who has decided the pillows are the perfect spot for a cat nap. Watch & laugh as Jack & Maddie trot in to check out Ally's new nap spot. Jack is more impressed with the blinds than the bedding & Maddie can't decide which Cat to pester & ends up complaining to Mom that the cats are camped out on the new bedding.

Jack the Cat is quite the home inspector of all new projects. Watch & laugh as Jack checks out the new bathroom reno where Dad switched out the pedestal sink for Mom's latest Facebook Marketplace score - a sink & vanity cabinet. Jack approves of the nice new double towel bar & the new bedding in the guest suite. Mom is still trying to sell the larger print after locating the same artwork printed on canvas. The guest suite has been entirely decorated via Facebook goodies. There is always some sort of projects going around here!

Jack the Cat is a very patient supervisor of Christmas Decorating & Great Danes. Watch & laugh as Jack patiently listens as 4 month old puppy Mikey barks at him, while taking a break from helping with the Christmas Garland. Ellie & Jack are in charge of puppy sitting while Mom starts to get the garlands organized.

Maddie the Great Dane is already in love with the Warmbond Portable Firepit & Mom hasn't fully assembled it with the smokeless top cap & grill. Watch & enjoy as Maddie enjoys the toasty warmth of the Warmbond Bondstove, which can be used without the panel & grill to allow for a more wood fire ambiance . Maddie is looking forward to Mom adding the smokeless top cover & grill & better yet....some hot dogs! We are all really impressed with the quality & design of the Bondstove. We will be sharing more of our Warmbond experiences as we enjoy our wonderful fall & winter weather in Florida.

Maddie the Great Dane is quite the talented delivery girl. Watch & laugh as Maddie surprises Dad & Mom with the delivery of the dozen roses that Dad picked up for Mom to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary - Mom & Dad were together for a dog year ...aka 7... before getting married. Maddie is really enjoying her Delivery Dane Gig & takes all her deliveries straight to the art room. Max & Katie would be so proud of Maddie for carrying on their delivery legacy.

Maddie the Great Dane is a very helpful & interested girl, when Mom unpacks new products. Watch & enjoy as Maddie & Mom have fun opening the box for the new Warmbond Portable fireplace. The BondStove is a portable smokeless fireplace / grill. Maddie can't wait to get the stove assembled & get the fire started as Mom describes the features.

Maddie the Great Dane is very helpful when a project involves sticks....lol Watch & laugh as Mom has to negotiate the release of the sticks, that Maddie swiped, to fire up the WarmBond Portable Smokeless Firepit that we are testing out. We are enjoying lovely perfect fall firepit weather in Florida & Maddie is looking forward to sitting beside the newly invented smokeless fireplace & grill. Stay tuned for our first cozy poolside fire.

Dad is an amazing artist who can paint anything! Dad also has the ability to tune out the craziness around him as he works on a project. Watch & enjoy as Dad creates the most perfect pink flamingo pumpkin after starting with a plain pink pumpkin & flamingo head & within hours transforms Pinkie into a work of art! Dad totally ignores Maddie & Boone running house zoomies as he works in his Pink Project. Go Dad. Hope Pinkie wins Best in Show at the Pumpkin Contest at Salt Rock Grill in Florida.

Boone came over for a visit & Mom has a flash of brilliance for the Lederhosen outfit that was a little too small for us....so much for XL! Think about it....Lederhosen ...GERMAN Short Haired Pointer. Much to Mom & Boone's Dad's surprise, Boone willing wore the Lederhosen outfit, complete with the hat. Until I swiped the hat....Poor Mom, never ending wardrobe malfunction videos, but they are humorous. Listen for the PING! when I swipe Boone's Hat.

Maddie & Ellie love their Halloween costumes....ok maybe, Maddie just likes her costume...lol... Watch & laugh as Ellie-gant Ellie Antoinette or possibly Ellie Martha Washington, Mom cant' decide exactly which historical character Ellie represents poses so Ellie-gantly while Cheerleader Maddie...let's call it leads a cheer before settling in to pose on the other side of Ellie. Mom was just happy that both costumes remained intact! Happy Halloween countdown!

Our new friend from Texas shipped a huge gift box to Florida with some of her Great Dane's favorite type of toys & gave it to us when we enjoyed our eat & greet at Dairy Queen. Watch & laugh as we eagerly open the box & check out the toys. Jack came trotting out when he heard there was a box of cat toys & got into the toy game. As Melissa predicted Ellie & I love the caterpiller ....Mom gave it more legs & called it a centipede. It is so snuggly & soft. Mom reminded me that Mr Caterpiller needs ALL his legs.
