Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes are usually quite cooperative about wearing their costumes after they get their initial excitement under control. Watch & laugh as Mom has a few challenges filming Cow Maddie & Lobster Ellie. Mom should have switched costumes as Ellie's cow costume had no hope of closing over her tummy (haven't we all been there). Ellie then decides to carry her udders ...lol Excited Maddie tries to remove the legs from her costume & Mom tries to negotiate with Maddie to "leave her legs alone". Mom finally decides to call this "Take One" of the Lobster & Cow Halloween costume adventure. Stay tuned.

Once they get their initial excitement under control, Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes pose perfectly in their Surf & Turf Halloween Costumes. Watch & laugh as Surf aka Harlequin Cow Ellie & Turf aka Red / Rock Lobster Maddie pose perfectly by the pool for Mom. Mom is starting to figure out that Take Two on posing the girls, usually results in a more successful video & photo.

Much to Mom & Dad's surprise, Maddie is following in Max & Katie's footsteps & becoming a grocery delivery girl. In fairness to Maddie, due to the pandemic & Instacart, Maddie has not had many opportunities for train for her task. Watch & laugh as with Mom & Dad cheering her on, Maddie grabs a bag of groceries & takes them on a little tour of the front lawn....lol Mom reroutes the delivery girl & she is on her way into the house, down the hall to the Art Room to show the treasures in the grocery bag to Ellie. Good Girl Maddie - You Did It!!!

Maddie the Great Dane & Jack the Cat love playing together. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Jack have fun strolling into the kitchen with doing the Hokey Pokey, putting their right & left feet in & out as Maddie play bows & Jack plays his favorite game....Whack A Dane. Maddie & Jack have the sweetest Tom & Jerry relationship.

Maddie the Great Dane is a busy girl when her buddy Boone comes over. At 9 1/2 years old Boone is an energizer bunny full of energy when it comes to swimming & lizard patrolling. Watch & laugh as Maddie was almost ready to quit after 90 minutes of play time, but decides to supervise as Boone enjoy a stroll & a swim in the pool & then bounces through the dwarf ixora garden in search of lizards.

Boone the German Short Haired Pointer loves patrolling for lizards. Watch & laugh as Boone thoroughly checks out a lounger for lounge lizards before getting distracted by Maddie's Cannonball Splash & then the race begins. Boone takes an early lead around the pool deck, but Maddie gains the lead as they cross into the putting green. Great Racing!

Jack the Cat has been a good sport about costumes & has been an awesome Little Red Furry Great Dane brother to five Great Dane siblings. Watch & laugh as Max isn't too sure what to make of the Jack the Cat-atonic Lion. Katie totally ignores Jack & head to the sofa to sit like the peoples do with her toy. Miss you Max & Katie.

Ellie the Great Dane prefers to do her socializing in the comfort of the air conditioning. Watch & laugh as Ellie is watching Maddie & Boone have fun in the pool & then gives Mom "the look" which translates to "enough heat & humidity - I want to go inside". Mom captures the most beautiful reflection of Ellie-gant Ellie in the mirrored tinted door.

Maddie & Ellie enjoy their play dates with their buddy Boone the German Short Haired Pointer. Show & Tell is great with friends, so Maddie pointed out her (first, don't tell Dad) new landscaping project. Watch and laugh as Maddie & Boone love running & playing together. Ellie prefers to spectate in the shade.

Jack the Cat is very much a dog person, as long as the dogs are his Great Danes. Watch & laugh as Jack makes a quick exit stage right, as German Short Haired Pointer Boone comes over for a play date with Maddie & Ellie. The girls are excited to have their buddy over & can't wait to head outside to play. Maddie turned right out of the lanai, while Boone headed straight for the dipping & sipping shelf in the pool. There is afunny scene at 13 seconds when Maddie comes sliding down the hallway to visit with Boone

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes have a different approach to their purple Octopus Halloween costumes. Maddie comes racing out the door, intent on either removing a leg or two from her costume, or just removing the costume. Ellie chooses to accessorize the Octopus look with Mr Purple. Maddie had fun tossing her costume, while Ellie had fun posing with her Purple Octopus look. Funny girls.

Chef Maddie the Great Dane loves to sit like the peoples do at the table & like the peoples do, likes to change up where she sits. Watch & laugh as Chef Maddie enjoys a taste of Dad's wieners & beans. Both Mom & Maddie are happy that the wiener in the beans, wasn't as sneaky & slippery as the wiener in the corn dog. Dad's wieners & beans & Mom's sandwich was a perfect light fall comfort food dinner.

Maddie the Great Dane loves to help out with the gardening projects. Watch & laugh as Garden Grass Inspector Maddie, bounces through the Pampas Grasses to let Mom & Dad know which plants need more trimming as they take adventure of the cooler Florida fall temperatures tackle the over grown grass cleanup before putting down fresh pine bark.

Woo Hoo.... Fall has fallen into Florida!!! We woke up to a temperature of 59 F / 15 C. We are all thrilled with the cooler temperatures & decided to cuddle up together before getting our day started. Though she does sleep on the bed at night (and strolls across the headboard much to Dad's chagrin ) Ally Cat wasn't in the bedroom for this morning's photo. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Jack & Allie & cuddle up at the end of the bed together, while Ellie who is channeling her inner Uncle Radar is quite happy with the cooler weather cuddled up in the jumbo bed cuddled up under the housecoat.

Ellie & Mikey the Great Danes love their Halloween costumes. Watch as laugh as Beauty aka Ellie & The Beautiful Beast aka Mikey have a great time running & wrestling in their costumes....which surprisingly mostly stay on with minimal wardrobe malfunctions. I think Maddie & Ellie will have a remake of beauty & the beast for this Halloween season.

We are all fans of Culver's burgers & fries & Mom thought a corn dog might be a fun experience for Maddie & Ellie. Ellie had no interest in a corn covered hotdog on a stick, but Maddie thought is was rather interesting & took a few polite bites & then the Corn Dog Cam captured Maddie's big shock as to everyone's surprise the corn dog slide off the stick & right into Maddie's mouth!

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes love going out for lunch! Watch & laugh as Maddie checks out the line at the Burger King drive thru window before Maddie & Ellie enjoy a cup & cone of vanilla ice cream. Ellie is definitely an ice cream girl, which is ok by Maddie as she scores two junior cheeseburgers!

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes are glad that the wicked weather that included two tornado warnings, is back to Florida sunshine. Unfortunately one umbrella was a victim of the wind gusts. Thankfully, it flew away from the screened lanai, rather than into it. Watch & laugh as Maddie literally points out the that there is a problem with the umbrella as she stands on top of it. Ellie is more interested in enjoying a rain water drink from the table top.

Funny Maddie the Great Dane loves her toys & loves to play upside down. Watch & laugh as Maddie engages in a hilarious game of twister with Mr Octupus, who is now a quadropus on his way to becoming a tripus. Maddie's funny paw moves & facial expressions will make you laugh.

Maddie the Weather Dane & Mom have been doing a lot of weather watching after two separate tornado warnings in the last 12 hours! Thankfully we rarely see tornados in Florida. Our big weather comes in the form of Hurricanes which have days of notice. Only 10 minutes notice with the Emergency Alert warning blaring from the phone is rather scary. Mom & Maddie decided to check out the wind & rain & both scurried back under cover after a big thunder boomer. Thankfully the storm passed through with no big wind, though sadly there were a few tornado touch downs south of us near Clearwater.

Ellie the Great Dane loves to relax on her back. Watch & laugh as funny Ellie smiles at Mom, yawns & hides her face with her paws while Maddie stretches out on the loveseat. Such happy relaxed girls.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes love holiday dinners. Watch & laugh as a Maddie & Ellie enjoy a taste of Turkey as they celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving aka Thanksgiving 1.0. Maddie & Ellie love turkey & gravy. Sadly, full size fresh turkeys aren't easily available in October in Florida, so Mom opted for a turkey breast & tried a new acorn squash recipe, stuffing the squash with chopped pears, apples & maple syrup.

Like all Floridians, Maddie & Ellie are loving the cooler fall temperatures. Watch & enjoy as Maddie & Ellie relax before a fall chicken pot pie & corn on the cob dinner as Mom checks out the wonderful weather that allows for the pocket doors to be open to bring the outside inside from the screened lanai. We are are loving our Florida open door temperatures.

Ellie the Great Dane is a great big sister who loves to pass on her knowledge to 4 month old baby Mikey. Watch & laugh as Ellie teaches Mikey how to open the Amazon box & then remove the spider costume from the package. Funny Ellie takes off running & claims the costume for her own with Mikey in hot pursuit.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes are honourary Canadians, especially on holidays that involve food & of course, hats. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Ellie pose so nicely in their turkey hats; Ellie for the duration of the video & Maddie for 7.2 seconds, before deciding that she wanted to forget about the hat & check out the decorator pear that Mom was holding. Mom had a blonde moment, forgetting that usually when she picks something up off a bowl on the table, it ends up in Maddie's mouth. Ellie happily watched Maddie's Kangaroo bouncing as she & Mom negotiated ownership of the pear. Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends & family!
