A wise Indian chief was asked what inspired or led him to be the great leader that he was and he told the interviewer of two voices which he'd heard in his spirit - one was the great eagle and the other savage blood seeking wolf - the eagle spoke of strength in peace, yet a warrior who saw greatness in doing good, righteous things that pleased the Creator; while the wolf spoke of selfishness, ambition, greatness at the expense of others; to which the interviewer asked which was the voice he chose to hear the most - The Chief replied simply and sincerely, with great conviction and firmness: "The one I choose to feed the most." He went on to explain that whichever he chose to spend the most of his time and energy with and listen to and hear, that is who influenced and guided him. When Jesus asked His disciples who they thought "men" said he was - they answered literally as to what they'd heard others saying about Jesus - not one thought to say, "Well, I've heard others say this, but I believe this..", which leads Jesus to be more direct and ask, "Who Do YOU say I am?", which is what He was looking for from them and which I believe without a doubt He continues to ask every member of the human race even today as He has since that gathering with His twelve disciples and shall continue to ask mankind in the future. We MUST be willing to acknowledge with full conviction who we believe Jesus is and why we believe what we do about Him - or not. It is the only way we can receive true revelation into the Word of God and more certainly, the only means to build a firm foundation in Gods Word and His plans and destiny for us. God is God, Jesus is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, NO MATTER WHICH WAY WE CHOOSE TO BELIEVE! We simply need to choose to believe that eternal truth or not. The choice is ours! Choose God in Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit - enjoy life everlasting in Him, with Him, and through Him! No matter how you say it, there is a confirmative affirmation to the phrase: SO THERE.. you could also say, AMEN, but, so many are used to using this phrase to emphasize their conclusion to a word they've just shared with someone else - whether positive or negative - you are basically letting someone know your thoughts and where you stand on that word you just shared. When God says it, however, IT IS A PROMISE WITH A PROMISED END! When we speak Gods Word - we can and should expect the same PROMISED RESULT as if God spoke it Himself - because He actually is speaking through us - IF we are speaking that Word In Truth, In Spirit, and In His Love! When God is showing us something either by His written Word or His spoken Word - directly (from Him; by Holy Spirit) or through others around us (His prophets; apostles; others) - we have to decide whose report will WE CHOOSE to BELIEVE - and this begs the question, "How do we KNOW it's God or someone speaking on their own? The answer is not as difficult as we make it out to be - if the word you're hearing lines up with the Word of God and your spirit bears witness to it - then trust God and after praying about it, move on it IN FAITH, IN GOD AND IN HIS WORD! And, if per chance you took a missed step, don't quit trusting God because He will, if you are open to willing to receive His correction and allow Holy Spirit to adjust to your direction - The LORD will help you get back on the RIGHT PATH! Too often it is too easy to take the Word of God too lightly! We easily quote scripture or verse, but, the tendency is to stop there - be satisfied with the quote, but, without knowledge or understanding of just what that Word is truly saying. Aloha & Praise the LORD! If you've ever met a name dropper or perhaps known one then you understand what that means to be a name dropper. They are people who say they "know" by implied statements someone - usually someone else who is famous or well known to a lot of people for some reason (sports; entertainment; etc.); but, these name droppers who claim to know these famous individuals only know they by name or perhaps by brief encounter (i.e.-met them at a gathering & got to shake their hands) and yet, they claim to know much more about that famous person than they really do. Many claim to KNOW God and KNOW Jesus - but the true test for all of us will come when we arrive in heaven and Jesus looks at each of us and will either acknowledge us and welcome us home to heaven - or we will be turned away. I want to be sure I do my best to not only KNOW My LORD and SAVIOR as Intimately as I CAN KNOW ANYONE AND MORESO - and - to HELP YOU ALL TO KNOW HIM AS WELL - and not be "name droppers"! Aloha & Shalom! Of the Three Witnesses in Heaven - too often we fail to see the Father in His Great Love for us.. Too often we look at God as a Father ready to "bring the hammer down on all of us when we sin" - rather than see Him as the FATHER who is seeking His child to return to Him in Love and Repentance.
