Billy Joe Shaver – Live Forever (Live At Luckenbach Texas)
In a world where dreams are born and legends are made, there exists a song that captures the essence of eternal hope and the indomitable spirit of the human soul. Its name is “Live Forever,” and it is a masterpiece crafted by the late great Billy Joe Shaver.
From the first tender notes, this timeless ballad weaves a tale that touches the very depths of our hearts. With a voice that carries the weight of a thousand lifetimes, Billy Joe Shaver invites us on a journey—a journey that transcends time and space, where mortality fades away, and dreams take flight.
Through his poignant lyrics, Shaver reminds us that life is a fleeting gift, meant to be cherished and celebrated. He speaks of a burning desire to leave an indelible mark on the world, to create something that will stand as a testament to our existence long after we’re gone. It is a song that ignites the embers of our own aspirations, urging us to reach for the stars and believe in the power of our dreams.
Yet, in the midst of this earthly longing, “Live Forever” carries a deeper meaning—a spiritual resonance that whispers of a greater eternity. It is a song that reminds us of the promise of living forever in the Kingdom of God, walking hand in hand with Jesus. It speaks of a hope that surpasses the boundaries of mortality, offering solace and comfort in the face of life’s uncertainties.
With each word, Billy Joe Shaver’s voice resonates with a raw and genuine vulnerability, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, our spirits can never be extinguished. It is a song that speaks to the resilience of the human spirit, reminding us that we have the power to overcome any obstacle and forge our destiny, both in this world and the next.
As the melody swells and the chorus takes flight, “Live Forever” becomes an anthem for all those who dare to dream, who refuse to be confined by the limits of time and space. It is a song that whispers softly in our ears, gently reminding us that our legacies are not defined by the years we spend on this Earth, but rather by the impact we make on the lives of others and our eternal connection to the divine.
So, let the timeless essence of “Live Forever” wash over you. Let its sweet melody and touching lyrics awaken the fire within your soul, reminding you that through faith and the grace of God, you can live forever in the Kingdom of Heaven. For in this song, Billy Joe Shaver has gifted us with a glimpse of immortality—a reminder that though our bodies may fade, our spirits can and will live on forever, in this world and the next.
LIVE FOREVER
I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now
You're gonna wanna hold me
Just like I always told you
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Nobody here will ever find me
But I will always be around
Just like the songs I leave behind me
I'm gonna live forever now
You fathers and you mothers
Be good to one another
Please try to raise your children right
Don't let the darkness take 'em
Don't make 'em feel forsaken
Just lead 'em safely to the light
When this old world is blown asunder
And all the stars from fall the sky
Remember someone really loves you
We'll live forever, you and I

Willie Nelson Demo 1955 - RARE
Dive back to the mid-1950s, a time before Willie Nelson was a household name. Fresh out of college and chasing a musical dream, the young Willie bounced from job to job – bouncer, auto-partsman, saddle maker, even a tree trimmer!
He eventually landed in Pleasanton, Texas, where fate (and a lack of experience) led him to a radio DJ gig at KBOP. With the station's equipment at his fingertips, a young and hungry Willie embarked on a mission: capturing his music.
In 1955, a diamond in the rough was born. Using recycled tapes, Willie laid down a demo of "When I've Sung My Last Hillbilly Song." This wasn't for the faint of heart – the recording was rough, the path to stardom unclear. He sent it to SARG Records, but it wasn't meant to be – they passed.
But for true Willie Nelson fans, this is a goldmine. This unearthed recording is a time capsule, a glimpse into the raw talent and unwavering spirit of a man on the cusp of greatness. The fidelity might be shaky, but the honesty, the pure Willie Nelson shines through like a beacon.
Consider this a holy grail for collectors, a testament to the relentless pursuit of a dream. This rare gem is a keeper!

Waylon's Guitar - Six Strings of Rebellion
Waylon Jennings' guitar thrummed with a defiant spirit, his Telecaster was an extension of his soul. It wasn't about polished virtuosity, but raw authenticity, every note echoing the grit and grace of his outlaw persona. His fingers danced across the frets, weaving tales of heartache and resilience, each slide and bend etched with the dust of Texas highways and smoke-filled honky-tonks.
No pristine perfection, Waylon's guitar sang with the imperfections of humanity, its twang a lonesome cry yearning for freedom, its bite a defiant growl against injustice. It was a sound that resonated deep, not just in ears, but in hearts, forever cementing Waylon Jennings as a legend whose guitar spoke a language far louder than any words ever could.
And that sound! That glorious sound! It was 100% Waylon, completely unique. There was no mistaking it, when you heard it you knew, as Hank Jr said, "Waylon and his Fender Telecaster that had that sound."
On this video we’ve compiled some of his best solos, riffs and bold harmonic convergences for your enjoyment. Waylon Jennings was a lot of things, he was the rough-hewn king of outlaw country, riding on a wave of twang and rebellion.
Waylon was a storyteller etched in steel strings, his songs the echoing cries of restless hearts.
Waylon was a voice of defiance amidst Nashville's polish, whispering tales of grit and grace.
Waylon was a weaver of musical tapestries, where whiskey-soaked verses met the sun-bleached blues.
Waylon was a restless highwayman of harmony, forever chasing the horizon with his guitar slung low.
