The Young Guns of Outlaw Country - Devyn Brinsfield
This week’s Young Gun is Devyn Brinsfield born in Bakersfield California in 1992 and has been playing music for about 17 years, 99 percent of it being in the church that he grew up in.
Devyns interest in country music was probably started when he’d go on trips to Kernville with one of his buddies whose family was into it.
When he first heard Haggard, George and Waylon he just became a huge fan, but only the old stuff. He’s been writing songs and performing all around Kern County California and just released his first album, Down in the Valley.
He understands the importance of telling a good story in song, something that’s missing from so many young country musicians these days.
You'll find his album DOWN IN THE VALLEY on Spotify and you can follow him on Facebook and Instagram.
