I realized being an alcoholic was painful and lonely. 01:04 - It's important to know thyself. My first drink gave me a feeling of euphoria, but it was a trap leading to one of my worst hangovers. 02:20 - If you struggle with anxiety, you might find alcohol temporarily helps, but it's a mismanagement of energy. Anxiety is energy not applied joyfully or helpfully. 03:22 - Alcoholics Anonymous showed me how to live sober and like it. The real problem for alcoholics is not liking being sober. 04:09 - I maintain a healthy lifestyle with a whole plant-based diet. My mind functions well, and I'm prepared for any problem. 04:34 - Alcohol numbs pain temporarily but obscures clear vision. I avoid interacting with people who are drunk. 04:54 - In AA, my brain got reprogrammed to see truthfully.
