Is Genesis History? - Part 2 with Guest Dr. Del Tackett
Throughout history, the biblical book of Genesis was considered an accurate and reliable record, but over the past 250 years, it has become one of the most controversial books of all time. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Dr. Del Tackett, creator of The Truth Project, continue discussing Del’s film, “Is Genesis History?,” and the evidence for creation. Dr. Del Tackett is the creator of the worldview curriculum The Truth Project. He served more than 20 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. During the George H.W. Is Genesis History? - Part 1 with Guest Dr. Del Tackett
Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Sadly, a large percentage of the Christian community does not believe that Genesis is true history. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Dr. Del Tackett, the creator of The Truth Project, discuss Del’s documentary film, “Is Genesis History?,” and examine the scientific evidence for creation. They also review the most important biblical truth: that just as sin and death entered the world through one man, Adam, salvation and God’s grace came through one man, Jesus Christ.

The Case for Miracles: From Skeptic to Evangelist - Part 2 with Guest Lee Strobel
Miracles are very difficult to explain and understand, and are therefore met with much skepticism and doubt. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Lee Strobel continue discussing Lee’s 2018 book, A Case for Miracles: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for the Supernatural. They also share stories of God’s supernatural intervention, and attempt to tackle the question, "why does God allow bad things to happen?"
About Today's Guest: Lee Strobel
Lee Strobel is a New York Times best-selling author of more than forty books and curricula that have sold fourteen million copies in total. He was a journalist for fourteen years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois’ highest honors for both investigative reporting and public service journalism from United Press International. After probing the evidence for Jesus for nearly two years, Lee became a Christian in 1981. He went on to subsequently become a teaching pastor at three of America’s largest churches, and hosted the national network TV program, Faith Under Fire. In addition, he taught First Amendment law at Roosevelt University and was Professor of Christian Thought at Houston Baptist University. Lee currently serves as founding director of the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University. He is married to Leslie, and they have two grown children and several grandchildren.

The Case for Miracles: From Skeptic to Evangelist - Part 1 with Guest Lee Strobel
Lee Strobel was once a narcissistic drunk, desperately lacking as a father to his kids and as a model husband to his wife, Leslie. Ironically, after she became a believer, Lee came to know the Lord after he tried to disprove the Resurrection for over two years. The avalanche of evidence pointing to our salvation was irrefutable. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and his good friend, renowned apologist and scholar Lee Strobel discuss his faith walk and the role of apologetics in evangelism. They also highlight the parallel of famous atheists of history – Nietzsche, Freud, Voltaire, and O’Haire – who were either fatherless or had bad relationships with their fathers.

On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton and Hillary Morgan Ferrer discuss her recent book, "Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality." Our culture has redefined the word love to mean approval of every imaginable sexual sin. By twisting the Creator’s design in order to satisfy sinful, physical desires, Satan attacks our God-given identity. What does it mean to be human? What is sin? And Who is God? Dr. Clinton and Hillary address these questions and more, and encourage parents to educate themselves and empower their children to challenge cultural lies about sexuality.

She is also chief author and editor of the best-selling "Mama Bear Apologetics: Empowering Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies," and "Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality: Empowering Your Kids to Understand and Live Out God’s Design." Mama Bear Apologetics with Guest Hillary Morgan Ferrer
According to research, 59 percent of all high school graduates leave the church. The statistic begs the question, “How can we help our children cultivate a faith of their own, and develop a personal relationship with the Lord?” On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton and his guest, Hillary Morgan Ferrer, discuss her book, "Mama Bear Apologetics: Empowering Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies." The world’s most potent lies are wrapped in partial truths. Hillary stresses the importance of teaching kids to think biblically. She believes this is crucial and empowers parents with the “ROAR” method in identifying and analyzing truth from fiction. Recognize the message. Offer discernment. Argue for a healthier approach. And finally, reinforce these ideas through discussion.

The New Black Robed Regiment - Part 1 with Guest Dan Fisher
On today’s Independence Day edition of Family Talk, author Dan Fisher describes the 18th century black-robed pastors who courageously led their men onto the battlefield against the British during the Revolutionary War. In his book, "Bringing Back the Black-Robed Regiment," he urges today’s clergymen to emulate the patriot pastors of America’s birth. Our pulpits desperately need biblical conviction once again to rally a new “black-robed regiment” of clergymen to arm Americans with the Word to uphold the Judeo-Christian principles on which this country was based.
About Today's Guest: Dan Fisher
Dan Fisher is the co-pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, and a former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, having served in his state’s legislature from 2012-2015. Dan grew up in Van Buren, Arkansas, and is a graduate of Van Buren High School, Westark Community College, and Arkansas Tech University. He is the author of "Bringing Back The Black-Robed Regiment," a historical non-fiction book which describes the 18th century American patriot pastors who bravely led their men onto the battlefield to face the British during The Revolutionary War. Dan’s passion is to rally a new “black-robed regiment” of clergymen to arm Americans with the Word to uphold Judeo-Christian principles on which this country was based. Believing the Bible addresses every subject, including politics, Dan dresses in full period-piece regalia and holds certified Revolutionary War artifacts as he speaks to groups around the country about the first black-robed regiment, who were brave enough to preach from the pulpit about spiritual and civil liberties. Dan and his wife, Pam, have been married since 1981 and have two adult children and six grandchildren. Today, Dan and Pam raise horses on 30 acres just west of Yukon, OK, where they live in a log house they built themselves.

Raising Worry-Free Girls - Part 1 with Guest Sissy Goff
Sissy Goff, a counselor and author of "Raising Worry-Free Girls," says anxiety always involves an overestimation of the problem, and an underestimation of self. On today’s edition of Family Talk, she warns parents not to rescue their daughter, which only serves to validate her anxiety. In essence, a parent might say, “You’re right, sweetheart, your concern is too big and you’re too small. You can't do it.” Instead, it’s critical to tell her, “You are capable. And I believe in you!” That will build her confidence, empowering her to become more resilient and independent.
About Today's Guest: Sissy Goff
Sissy Goff, M.Ed., is a licensed professional counselor who serves as the director of child and adolescent counseling at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 1993, Sissy has been helping girls and their parents find confidence in who they are, and hope in who God is creating them to be. Sissy is a sought-after speaker on the topic of parenting, and the author of 12 books including "Raising Worry-Free Girls," "Braver, Stronger, Smarter" (for elementary-aged girls) and her new release for teenage girls entitled "Brave." A member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Sissy hosts a podcast called Raising Boys and Girls and has 50,000 followers on Instagram. She is fondly regarded by parents and children alike for putting the kids in her care at ease with the help of her 8-pound dog, Lucy, whom she’s dubbed a “pet therapist.”

A Conversation with a Pro-Life Governor with Guest Oklahoma Gov Kevin State
Even though he grew up as a preacher’s kid, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt didn’t completely turn his life over to Christ until he was in college. Today, the father of six, says, “Everything in this world is meaningless compared to our relationship with the Lord.” On today’s edition of Family Talk, Governor Stitt, known as the most pro-life governor in the country, says he signed the toughest abortion ban in America which protects babies from the moment of conception. He thinks it's simply barbaric that states like Colorado and New York legalized abortion on demand up to the moment of birth. His message to a woman who is in a crisis pregnancy: God has a redemptive plan for you and your baby.
About Today's Guest: Governor Kevin Stitt
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, a Republican, was elected in 2018 in his first bid for elected office of any kind. He is a fourth-generation Oklahoman and a graduate of Oklahoma State University. In 2000, he founded Gateway Mortgage Group in Tulsa, Oklahoma with only $1,000 and one computer. He has grown the business into a nationwide mortgage company, operating in 42 states with $20 billion in residential mortgages. On May 25, 2022, Stitt signed into state law the most protective abortion ban in America. The new law protects babies in Oklahoma from the moment of conception, and, like the Texas Heartbeat Act, it includes a private right of action as enforcement. A preacher’s kid, Kevin committed his life to Christ while in college. He and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 24 years and have six children. They are actively involved in Woodlake Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The New Black Robed Regiment - Part 2 with Guest Dan Fisher
On today’s Family Talk, we are having part 2 of author Dan Fisher's conversation which describes the 18th century black-robed pastors who courageously led their men onto the battlefield against the British during the Revolutionary War.

Elevate Your Faith in God and Find Real Joy in Your Life with Guest Margaret Feinberg | Featured
In a wave of successive life chapters, Margaret Feinberg battled aggressive cancer, chronic pain and financial hardship. During those trials, she learned that she could either “cling to her crisis or cling to Christ.” On today’s edition of Family Talk, Margaret candidly explains that faith is not the absence of doubt. The thorns in our lives should drive us back to God, Who is our refuge and strength. Contrary to secular claims, we can’t experience transformative faith without sacrifice, suffering, and service. In her book, "More Power To You," Margaret shares that she has learned to pray the simple declaration: “God is good. God is on the throne. Breathe in, breathe out.”
