Lighthouse Faith - Part 2 with Guest Lauren Green
The walking wounded are all around us. They’re propped up by their wealth, their beauty, and their success. However, under the surface, they're not only hurting, but they’re in a fog. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Lauren Green, the chief religion correspondent for Fox News, continue discussing her book, "Lighthouse Faith." Lauren notes how the Lord is the lighthouse to the world and His light cuts through the haze to illuminate the dangerous rocks of self-destruction. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my path.”

Chad Robichaux: Still in the Fight, My Service, My Battle
After eight tours of duty in Afghanistan, Chad Robichaux had seen it all. From the brutality of the Taliban to witnessing the deaths of 15 fellow soldiers, he began to suffer from debilitating panic attacks. Chad says, “Imagine you’re drowning in a swimming pool and handcuffed to the bottom. How desperate would you feel to get one breath of air?” That was his level of panic 24/7. When he returned to America, his extreme PTSD led to a suicide attempt in his bedroom closet. Thankfully, Chad trusted Christ as his Savior and today, he serves active duty, military veteran and first responder communities with faith based trauma and resiliency programs.

Chad Robichaux: Still in the Fight, A Veteran's Journey - Part 3
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a spiritual wound. That’s the contention of Chad Robichaux, a retired U.S. Marine who served eight tours of duty in Afghanistan. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Chad explains that his crippling panic attacks were God-sent, a way for his body to cope with trauma. Today, he counsels people with PTSD to recognize that medication should be a pitstop on the road to recovery, not the destination. The antidote is the peace of God through a relationship with Christ and solid biblical counseling which does not assign blame.
About Today's Guest: Chad Robichaux
Chad Robichaux is a highly decorated former U.S. Marine and Department of Defense contractor with eight deployments to Afghanistan as part of a Joint Special Operations Command Task Force. After overcoming his personal battles with PTSD and nearly becoming a veteran suicide statistic, Chad founded the Mighty Oaks Foundation, a non-profit serving the active duty, military veteran, and first responder communities around the world with faith-based combat trauma and resiliency programs. He is also the co-founder of Save Our Allies, a non-profit organization that focuses on the evacuation and recovery of Americans, our allies, and vulnerable people trapped in Afghanistan. Chad is a best-selling author and has written a number of books related to veteran care and overcoming life’s challenges. He has been featured on national news outlets and his biography, "An Unfair Advantage," will soon be developed into a screenplay for a major motion picture. In addition to Chad’s military service, he has served our nation as a special agent with the U.S. Federal Air Marshal Service and the U.S. State Department as a surveillance detection senior program manager. Chad is a Medal of Valor recipient for his bravery beyond the call of duty in law enforcement. He has earned an MBA from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), and is a board-certified pastoral counselor with a focus on PTSD. Chad is married to Kathy, and they have one daughter, two sons and two granddaughters.

Search and Rescue with a Ground Zero Hero with Guest Tom Bowen
When Muslim terrorists crashed two planes into the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001, 2,753 people lost their lives. As a firefighter working in the debris of the attack, Tom Bowen used his fire hose as a lifeline to navigate through the rubble and wreckage. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Bowen explains that 2,000-degree fires continued to burn underground for months afterwards. As he retrieved and returned the remains of the dead to their families, he inhaled toxic fumes, which led to the development of brain lesions and the need for a large portion of his right lung to be removed. As Tom struggled to put his life back together, he discovered how Jesus is the ultimate lifeline for every believer.
About Today's Guest: Tom Bowen
Tom Bowen is a public speaker whose testimony has resonated with many people around the world. As a fireman, he assisted at the World Trade Center following the 9/11 attacks, working with the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Teams and the New York City Office of Emergency Management. Despite his pain and anguish, Tom went on to raise millions of dollars for childhood cancer research. He also created an international campaign to help bring healthcare funding to those injured by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Tom has received several awards and commendations for his service to our country including the National Distinguished Humanitarian Award by the American Rescue Workers, and he was recognized by President George W. Bush for his service following 9/11. He and his wife, Jennifer, have 6 children and make their home in Huntington, WV.

Finding Jesus on the Streets - Part 2 with Guest Mike Yankoski
You would think that the hosts of a church breakfast would invite a homeless man sitting in front of their steps to enjoy a hearty meal. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Yankoski, the author of "Under the Overpass," shares that when he attended that same church the following Sunday, the man who chased him away asked for forgiveness through tears. Mike urges the church to follow Christ’s example and love the unattractive, and the unlovable, including the homeless.

Finding Jesus on the Streets - Part 1 with Guest Mike Yankoski
Did you know that there are over half a million Americans who are homeless? Can you imagine what it’s like to live on the streets? No bed or shower. No easy way to get food or a job. On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, Mike Yankoski, the author of "Under the Overpass," shares with Dr. James Dobson his experience of going undercover to learn how the homeless community lives. Throughout his five-month journey, he lost 25 pounds, grew his hair and beard, and eventually repelled people by his body odor. As Mike ate out of the trash, was ignored by people, and even witnessed a violent encounter, he felt dehumanized and disgusting. His experience gave him increased Christ-life compassion for those who really are homeless.

Return of the gods - Part 1 with Guest Rabbi Jonathan Cahn
According to Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, America’s disturbing rejection of the one true God has opened the door for the return of the ancient gods. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Cahn discuss the research and findings in his new book, "The Return of the Gods." Rabbi Cahn explains that the presence of the Dark Trinity — comprised of Baal, Ishtar, and Molech—on American soil has led to our embrace of wicked practices. Ephesians 6:12 warns, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
About Today's Guest: Rabbi Jonathan Cahn
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a New York Times best-selling author of "The Harbinger," "The Paradigm," "The Mystery of the Shemitah," "The Book of Mysteries, The Oracle, and The Harbinger II: The Return." Additionally, he serves as the Senior Pastor and Messianic Rabbi of the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel in Wayne, New Jersey. Back from the Brink of Divorce - Part 2 with Guests Larry & Sue Wright
To any outside observer, Larry Wright was a success. The Phoenix rock ‘n roll disc jockey had paid for an upscale home, nice cars, and provided a comfortable life for his wife, Sue, and their three kids. But on today’s edition of Family Talk, you’ll hear how Larry and Sue’s marriage almost ended in divorce. After Sue became a Christian, she exemplified 1 Peter 3:1, which challenges wives to win their husbands to Christ by their selfless conduct. Larry’s hardened heart was miraculously softened to God’s redemption, and the once-harsh disciplinarian was transformed into a loving father whose relationship with his children was restored.
About Today's Guests: Larry and Sue Wright
Larry Wright was a popular radio “disc jockey” in the 1960s, serving Phoenix and a wide area of Arizona under the name “Lucky Lawrence.” After receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, Larry began leading Bible studies at Bethany Bible Church. In June of 1979, Larry and his wife, Sue, founded the ministry Abundant Life, which focused on unchurched businessmen. The ministry evolved to help couples work to improve their marriages. Larry and his wife expanded their outreach by speaking on the topic of God's plan for marriage across the country. In addition, they worked with Pro Athletes Outreach, helping athletes work to keep their families together. Larry passed away in 2001.
Sue Wright served alongside her husband and led Bible Studies and encouraged women in their faith for over 35 years. She was also a talented artist and loved to draw and paint with oils. In addition, Sue had a passion for horses and competed in many rodeos as a barrel racer. She was a rodeo princess and participated in many parades with her horses. Sue and Larry were married 46 years before his passing in 2001. She joined her husband in Heaven when she went home to be with the Lord in 2019. They are survived by their three daughters, nine grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

Back from the Brink of Divorce - Part 1 with Guests Back from the Brink of Divorce
Larry Wright was a hard-charging radio announcer who made it to the top of his profession. However, he was a failure at home. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Larry confessed that he was not attentive to his wife, Sue. After she trusted Christ as her Savior, Larry’s heart was melted by her unconditional love. He eventually stopped trying to find purpose in his bank account and at the bottom of a bottle, and invited Jesus into his heart.

A Daring Faith in a Cowardly World - Part 2 with Guest Ken Harrison
On today’s edition of Family Talk, Ken Harrison, the author of "A Daring Faith in a Cowardly World," urges Christians to have the courage of their convictions. He explains we should boldly and lovingly share Scripture, not our opinion, with those walking in sin, urging them to repent. The reason God didn’t send us to Heaven upon our profession of faith is because He has a plan for us to accomplish while here on earth. Philippians 3:14 declares, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
About Today's Guest: Ken Harrison
Ken Harrison is the chairman and CEO of the national men’s ministry, Promise Keepers, a dual role he serves to lead others and to inspire men across the country to be bold, faithful, and godly fathers and husbands. Harrison also serves as the CEO of WaterStone, a Christian foundation that comes alongside givers, advisors and ministries to provide trusted counsel and innovative giving strategies. After graduating from Marine Corps Officer Candidate School and then serving as a Los Angeles police officer, Harrison spent nearly two decades in the commercial real estate arena, both nationally and internationally. An author and corporate speaker, he has done many television and radio interviews, including The Huckabee Show, Fox Nation, The 700 Club and Turning Point. He is a Colson Fellow and has served on many boards, such as Promise Keepers, FCA, Corban University, Colorado Uplift and Urban Youth Ministries. Ken has been married to his high school sweetheart, Elliette, for over three decades. They reside in Colorado, and they have three adult children, all serving the Lord.

A Daring Faith in a Cowardly World - Part 1 with Guest Ken Harrison
After a serious jet ski accident, Ken Harrison, the chairman and CEO of Promise Keepers, was told he had ruptured his liver and might have five hours to live. Romans 2:6 flashed before his eyes. It says that God “will repay each one according to his works.” On today’s edition of Family Talk, the author of A Daring Faith in a Cowardly World, reminds Christians that Ephesians 2:10 declares that Christ created us to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Knowing that the Lord will reward us in Heaven with special crowns and responsibilities, the key is to live a life without regrets while serving Him.
