When God Doesn’t Appear to Make Sense to Us - Part 2 with Dr. James Dobson
What do the biblical characters David, Job and Hezekiah have in common? They all experienced a time where they did not hear from God and cried out to Him with the universal question of “Why?” Even while on the cross, Jesus asked His Father, “Why have You forsaken me?” On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson continues to walk us through this question of “Why?,” which we all have experienced in trying circumstances. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.” In the face of life’s most difficult challenges, we can find hope in the Word of God.

It’s not a cultural war, it’s a spiritual issue. He stated that wokeness is angry and feels there is no justice in the world. They are angry at the human condition and angry at God, that there is a created order that they do not want. It’s an atheistic worldview and people are looking to try to make the world right by pointing their finger at everyone else.

The Declaration of Independence: Faith and Freedom Defined with Guest Jerry Newcombe
As citizens of the United States of America, we enjoy so many freedoms and liberties that we dare not take for granted. On today’s edition of Family Talk, co-host Gary Bauer interviews Jerry Newcombe, executive director of the Providence Forum, about the ideals and principles upon which our great nation was founded. Let us never forget that our founding fathers leaned heavily on God and their Judeo-Christian heritage as they completed the final draft of the Declaration of Independence 247 years ago. It is the very reason why we, as Americans, can and do celebrate the 4th of July and call our nation “the land of the free!”
About Today's Guest: Jerry Newcombe
Jerry Newcombe is the executive director of the Providence Forum. He also serves as the senior producer, on-air host, and a columnist for D. James Kennedy Ministries. Jerry has produced or co-produced more than 70 one-hour television specials that have aired nationwide. He is the author or co-author of 33 books including, "What If Jesus Had Never Been Born?," "Doubting Thomas? The Life and Legacy of Thomas Jefferson," "American Amnesia," and "A New Birth of Freedom." He has made numerous media appearances, including on Janet Parshall’s America, Point of View, TBN, Fox News Channel, and Fox Business Channel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history, a master’s degree in communication, and a doctorate of ministry. Jerry and his wife, Kristi, have two grown children, three grandchildren, and make their home in South Florida.

Legacy of Life 50 Heroes of the Pro Life Movement with Guest John Stemberger
When "Roe v. Wade" crumbled to the ground on June 24, 2022, it was the beginning of the end of a decades long battle. While the reversal of this wicked law was ruled through the Supreme Court, it was also thanks to the pro-life pioneers, past and present, some who are even deceased, who took a stand for the sanctity of human life. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton interviews John Stemberger about his book, "Legacy of Life: Honoring Fifty of the Greatest Pro-Life Leaders of the Last Fifty Years," an ode to those who helped make a post-Roe America possible, including our own Dr. James Dobson. Learn more about the giants within the pro-life movement, and why we must also stand to defend and protect the sanctity of life for mothers and their unborn babies “for such a time as this.”

John Stemberger is the president of the Florida Family Policy Council, a non-profit organization with a mission to protect and defend life, marriage, family and liberty through education, advocacy and empowerment. In 1987, he founded the Institute for Conservative Studies (ICS), as a permanent student-led think-tank at Florida State University. In 1992, John was appointed as the political director of the Republican Party of Florida during the final campaign of former President George H. W. Bush. John has been quoted in news and media sources as an expert on law, policy, culture and politics in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and NPR. A Year after Dobbs with Guest Dr. Ingrid Skop
Did you know that in a study of biologists polled from around the world, 96% agreed that human life begins at conception? Despite this overwhelming statistic that supports the pro-life position, we still battle the denial of this fact by those who want to destroy human life through abortion. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Tim Clinton discusses this delicate but serious topic with Dr. Ingrid Skop, vice president and director of medical affairs for the Charlotte Lozier Institute. Dr. Skop explains that without knowledge of the truth about abortion, chemical abortion, and the morning after pill, women could be putting their lives in jeopardy, in addition to the lives of their unborn children.
About Today's Guest: Dr. Ingrid Skop
Dr. Ingrid Skop is the vice president and director of medical affairs for Charlotte Lozier Institute. She received her bachelor of science in physiology from Oklahoma State University and her medical doctorate from Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Skop is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, where she uses science and statistics to counter pro-abortion agendas, and is a lifetime member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Prior to joining Charlotte Lozier Institute, Dr. Skop served for over 25 years in private practice in San Antonio, Texas, where she delivered more than 5,000 babies and personally cared for many women who had been harmed, physically and emotionally, from complications caused by abortion. Dr. Skop is married to a physician, and is the proud mother of two sons and a daughter.
