How to Build a DIY Goat Pen - Goat Project PT 2
Today is Part 2 of the Goat Project, where I'll be building a goat pen. In the video I'll show how I mark out the fence lines, auger the post holes, assemble the fence using scrap steel and adding the utility panels. The next part in this series will be building the goat barn and setting up the watering and feed systems.... as well as some 'playground' equipment for the future goats. Thanks for watching!

Making a DIY Welded Gate for a Goat Pen (Goat Project Pt 1)
Today I'm building a DIY welded metal gate for a future goat yard. This will be the first of several project videos of our little goat adventure, which will include building the fence, shelter, food/water, and of course a goat playground.
And there will likely be other goat related projects as our adventure unfolds.... but to be honest we're still trying to decide and which type of goats we are going with...haha Currently it is between Nigerian Dwarfs and Mini and/or full size La Mancha goats. Feel free to send us any thoughts on which breed you'd lean towards!
Thanks for watching! - Joe

How Much Can It Power? - Bluetti AC200P Power Station Review
Today I'm testing out the Bluetti AC200P Portable Power Station. In the video I test it out on a variety of tools in my shop, appliances in the house and also with my DIY Travel Trailer project for some additional convenience on our camping trips. I also will demonstrate its solar charging capabilities with the optional folding solar panels. And at the end I'll give you my thoughts on its usefulness on a variety of situations ranging from emergencies to mobile power for business or personal use.
Please Note: This was sent to me free of charge to test out and review.

Rainwater Harvesting Wildlife Waterer UPGRADE - 300 to 900 gallons
Today I'm upgrading my rainwater harvesting wildlife waterer from 300 gallons to 900 gallons. In the video I'll show the addition of 2 additional IBC storage totes, plumbing the tanks and water trough, and the making of a DIY water trough with a concrete mixing tub and a float valve. Then I will give you an overview of how the system harvests rainwater from a roof structure, directs that water into the IBC storage tanks located down the hill, and supplies water to the trough for the benefit of the animals. And then I'll end the video with some clips of all the animals coming in for a drink!
And for those who would like more info on the previous versions of this project, see the links below. Originally this project was started using a billboard tarp and rain barrels. But over the years I've upgraded the collection surface to a roof structure and the storage from rain barrels to IBC totes..... And who knows.... I may just have more upgrades in store in the future ;)
Thanks for watching!

How to Make a Landing Net - Steam Bent Fishing Net
Today I'm making fishing net for my wife using my steam box project from the last video (also referred to as landing net or a scoop net). In the video I'll show making the form for bending, cutting the strips of wood used, steaming the wood and then finally forming, laminating, sanding, finishing and tying the net into the frame. It was definitely a bigger project than I was anticipating, but now that the form and other components have been created.... should result in many more future nets being made in the same way.
Also, I want to give a big shout out to Scott @kiowa_garageworks (IG) and Jameson @Riverbend Woodworks for their tips, tricks and help in figuring this project out! Specifically I got a lot of good tips from Jameson's 'koa fly fishing net build'. here is a link....

DIY Tailgate Ladder - How to Make ( Plus a Welding Gear Giveaway! )
Today I'm making a DIY Aluminum Tailgate ladder for my truck. In the video I'll show how I cut the aluminum, welded it with a spool gun, created some custom brackets, and used some standard hardware to allow it to flip into the truck tailgate and lock in place.
And I'm quite confident some of you might be wondering, is it even worth the effort over just buying one? Well, I will address both the economics of it as well as my thoughts on how just "saving money" isn't the only benefit of doing things yourself. There's often a lot more to be gained from experiences like this if you'll embrace all the aspects of the process!

String lights? Edison Bulbs? Whatever the heck you call em'.... I'm hanging them with the help of a 40V post hole auger, some turnbuckles and a 100lbs of steel and concrete. Probably a little more complex than it needed to be..... but they do look great!

Building DIY Chicken Coop Build - Part 3 (Coop Run)
Part 3 of my 'Building a DIY Chicken Coop' series. In this video I will be building the yard/run for the chicken coop. I will show digging the post holes, setting posts, construction the run/yard framework, painting, adding fencing, building and installing the door/gate for the yard, adding a shade/rainwater harvesting roof, and lots of other little things that I cover in the video. As for the next parts of the project..... they will include the automatic waterer, rainwater harvesting system, solar powered electric fence, and automatic doors for both the coop and the yard! Stay tuned!
Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions - Joe

Rainwater Harvesting to Hauling Water - A Problem, A Solution and a Perfectly Random Monsoon Rain!
When you are presented with problems, you need to find solutions. With the lack of rainwater we've had this last year, hauling water in the truck became a viable 'bandaid' until the next rains hit. In this video I'll give you my thoughts on problem solving, take you on a trip to get water, show how I transfer that water to our storage tanks, as well as how I welded up a weight distribution tray for an IBC tote to sit in the bed of my truck. I little DIY, a little Philosophy and a bit of a redneck and his dog hauling water;) ....oh yes, and some monsoon footage too!

Building a DIY Chicken Coop - Part 2 (Sheathing, Windows/Doors, other details)
Part 2 of my 'Building a DIY Chicken Coop' series. In this video I will be adding the plywood sheathing, trim, doors/windows, roofing, hardware, paint and moving the coop to its home near the garden! I cover the general aspects of how I made the doors, windows, etc,..... but don't list all of the dimensions in the video itself. But I have listed those details below the links for the tools that I used!

MATERIALS AND DIMENSIONS:
Plywood for coop:
4 - 4x8 sheets of 3/8 exterior grade plywood
2- 4x8 sheets of 1/2” or thicker OSB for roof deck
1x3’s for door/ window framing and corner trim
8-10 pieces of 1x3” x 8ft boards
Screws/nails used:
1 5/8” decking screws for plywood
16 ga 1.5” and 2.5” finish nails for nailer
1.5” washered roofing screws did roofing/flashing
1 1/4” pocket hole screws for door/window frames
3/4-7/8” screws to fasten from backside of plywood to 3/4” thickness of door and window frames.
Door/window dimensions:
Main door frame
27w x 32"h
Door
21.75w x 26.75"H
Window frame
15.5w x 12.5"h
Barn door
35w x 38"h
Poop door
44w x 14"h
Egg box lid
41 1/8”w x 22.25” deep
Egg box side door
23w x 7.5"h
Note: both the egg box lid and front plywood are 3/4” that I had on hand. I recommend a thicker plywood for those parts than the 3/8” used on the rest of the coop end doors.
Interior frames that serve as a weather seal of the end access door and the side egg box door have a lip of approx 1/2” on the bottom and 3/8” on the sides

Out with the Old - Hatching a Plan for a New DIY Chicken Coop!
A COOP d'état? Well, yes! A bit of a play on words, but today I'm saying farewell to my old chicken coop and talking about the plans for the new and improved 2.0 version!
In this video, I go over the aspects of this coop that have worked well over the years, but also the things I wished I could change. And in moving forward with a new coop build, what features I will keep the same and what new ideas I want to incorporate from the start!
Here is a link to my last Chicken Coop Tour video of which I featured clips during the first couple minutes of this video. It is from 3-4 years ago and goes over all of the features that will likely be incorporated into the new 2.0 version :)

Shipping Container Playhouse gets an Upgrade - DIY Playground Part 1
Today I'm adding a DIY playground to the shipping container playhouse project. In this video I'll show how I welded the main frame, dug foundations holes, set in concrete, added horizontal pullup and gymnastics bars, a fireman's pole, and an integrated ladder. The next part of this project will see monkey bars added, swings and climbing rope installed, and a few other things that I'm still trying to figure out ;)

How to Paint an IBC Tote - Rainwater Harvesting DIY
Today I'm painting some IBC totes for an addition to my rainwater harvesting wildlife waterer set up. In the video I'll show how I remove the IBC tote from the cage, prep it for paint, paint it, etc,. This is important to help reduce algae growth as well as protecting the plastic from UV sun damage.
NOTE: An alternative and perhaps a slightly more long term durable option would be the wrap the tote in a durable plastic. It works great and many have had great success with that route! But I prefer paint for its ease and the clean, finished look of the tote after its been painted.
And here are the links to the previous videos on my rainwater harvesting wildlife waterer set up.

Home Auto in a Tiny Shop - Tow Hitch Install ( 2013 Chevy Silverado )
Today I'm installing a tow hitch/receiver on my 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. This may not be the most exciting of projects, but I think it's a good example that many automotive repairs and vehicle upgrades can be accomplished without having to take your vehicle to an auto shop or a mechanic. A simple socket set and borrowing a torque wrench were the only necessities that I needed for this install. And stay tuned until the to see the next few projects coming up!
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions!

How to Build HALF a Workbench - Ron Paulk Inspired Pt 2
Today I’m building the lower frame for my Ron Paulk inspired workbench. In the video I’ll show you how I cut, layout and weld the steel framework together. And then aadding lower shelf for my table saw and large 5” casters to make moving between my garage and shop a breeze! Lastly I’ll touch on the next step in this workbench project, which will be to utilize this table as an outfeed table by adding a mounting system for my table saw similar to how Ron Paulk incorporates his table saw into his workbench system.
Let me know if you have any questions!
