Revisit a classic of a game with its large number of bullets covering the screen, its easy concept, even for beginners, and its unique balance. In this video, I compare the Sega Saturn game (using a Hyperkin HDMI adapter), the Sega Saturn game on the MiSTer FPGA core and the game ported by City Connection for the Nintendo Switch. Batsugun was an arcade game, but was ported to the Sega Saturn, in Japan. To demonstrate the game on the Saturn, I am using a Hyperkin HDMI adapter. "SILPHEED" is a vertical scrolling 3D shooter game released by GAMEARTS in 1986. The player boards the air fighter SA-08 SILPHEED and sets out to crush the insurgency. The Sega CD port is an enhanced version of the game. In this video, I show both. The game's story concerns a space war campaign when terrorists—led by a man named Xacalite—hack into the mother computer of Earth, granting them control over all the space weaponry of the solar system. The Earth's only hope is a small fleet outside the computer's reach, provided with a squadron of SA-77 Silpheed dogfighters (referred to as "prototypes" in the manual for the PC version).
