Ekklesia "The Unwoke Church"

Most of us will answer the question with a resounding YES! That answer will make us correct but when, how, and by what qualifications must be present in order for God to interject is power into a situation? That is what we will be tackling as well as gathering to worship and fellowship.

The book of Philippians was written because of the division of the church in the region. Roman citizenship has caused some people within the city and within the church to treat non-citizens as second class people. Coupled with the persecution from the Roman government against the Christians Paul writes this inspired letter to encourage the church to stand strong instead of giving up. Philippians 3:14-15 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Did the American colonists have a mandate to stand up to the British Empire? Was it a justified war? What was the climate during that time to make an event like the American Revolution possible? Let's take a look at what was happening in the minds of the people during that time and what God allowed to happen. Don't miss this worship time! Knowing our Father in Heaven's heart for you is essential in the Christian life. Without it we will become bitter, hateful, and legalistic. Also, without it we will become apathetic and weak. A father is the one in the family that gives children an identity and an inheritance. Without these things men and women do not mature and act out of their disorders and shortcommings instead of rising to the occasion. Love and strength are the enduring qualities of a dad. Philippians 1:27-28 hatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.

Every Christian knows that salvation is a free gift through Christ Jesus. But not every Christian knows that we were bought with a price and that there is a great inheritance given to each of us. What is this great inheritance? How do we access it and how do we use it? Join us as we find out, and as we move toward living out our birthright as a royal priesthood. Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous.

Written by Paul in prison because of his efforts in expanding the Gospel Of The Kingdom. He addresses the church he planted in the most religious city in the Grecco-Roman world. He makes clear the teaching of Jesus Christ that we are saved not because of the religous work that we do, but by the grace of God through our faith. We cannot overstate this because this is the foundation for spritiual gifts, the structure of the church, and how we stand in spiritual warfare. Outside of Jesus' own teachings this book is the core of what it means to be a Christian. Paul's instructions are clear. These directives will allow you to live victorious in a chaotic world! Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

When we become new Christians it is so exciting. God is always showing us something new. As we grow in years in the Lord we sometimes encounter doldrums. The reason why is we are not being promoted by God in our assignement on the Earth. How do we keep our relationship with God exciting and how does he promote us? This is very important to keep our faith fresh and our love for God hot! Psalm 75:6-7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

All fear and anxiety comes from bad events in reality. This is the work of the devil. Therefore you can deduce that the enemy influences people of power to make situations that cause division and destruction, in turn that causes the people of God to have fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety spiritual empowers evil forces to produce more destructive circumstances. It is a vicious cycle. How do we break it? How do we overcome? We will answer these questions and more so don't miss it! James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 5:15-17 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is,

Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

Luke 23:46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

After the passing of Valentine's Day, the populace is talk about love. The word "Love" isn't what we think it is. We use it so causally it has lost it's meaning. Let's look at what the word of God says about it. Since love is not just an attribute of God but actually who he is, this is an essential teaching for every Christian. Let us make sure we get this right! 1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
