This was my first abandoned mine exploration after Hurricane Hilary. Unfortunately, the tunnel was collapsed. The soil was so dry that it had already started sucking up all the standing water, so this tunnel did not have much water left. You can still see the water level in the tunnel, which was neat. In this southern Nevada gold mining district, let's explore some of the smaller mines in the area. Came across a rare find, a small spring that still has water.

Small desert cabin in Arizona. I love how many of these abandoned places become a suto art exhibit. Each time you visit you are treated with something new and or strange.

I thought this would be a very small Nevada gold mine, but this exploration showed it to be much larger, with 3 levels. The underground workings are not massive like some, but I thought this would be a small operation.

This abandoned copper mine was in operation on and off for 100 years. Even though it is not being worked anymore, there are still lots of copper ore all over the site.

According to the maps, some tunnels should be at this old talc mine in the Mojave Desert. So on this adventure, I hike to the location of the supposed tunnels to see if they still exist.

Hot springs are fun to visit, soak and explore. The beauty of the surroundings and you get to spend time with some really nice people who enjoy the hot springs. But some hot springs are just a little extra special. Here is one such hot spring.

In this video, we'll take you to one of the abandoned copper mine camp found at 8800 feet elevation in the mountains of Nevada. This mining camp was once bustling with activity, but now it's a decaying ghost town. Getting up close and personal with this decaying mining camp provides a unique perspective on abandoned places and the people who once lived there.

After arriving at this site at 9pm the night before, I never could have realized how beautiful this abandoned and forgotten homestead cabin was. While exploring the site we also came across the original well. This was not filmed, but it is part of the montage at the end of the video. With this level of decay, this homestead cabin will not be around much longer, so it is wonderful that it was seen before it's nothing but a pile of rubble.

While exploring a collapsed abandoned mine tunnel, I encountered this pack rat nest hidden in the tunnel debris. I didn't stay long so mommy could come back to feed its baby.
