The Arch Mine
While traveling through central Nevada for abandoned places I came across this forgotten mine. I was happy to see that it wasn't fully collapsed, but how many more seasons will this tunnel still be around?

See incredible cabins in the Cabins of the Mojave
A tour of several mining camps that still have cabins and other standing structures found in the back-country of the Mojave Preserve.
Always remember when traveling anywhere in the desert, be prepared for anything. Always carry enough water and food. It is also a good idea to carry an extra 5 gallons of gas. One never knows what can happen.

Nevada Mercury Mine
Discovered in 1913. Not much in the way of production until In 1919, the mine had new owners and they produced 628 flasks using a 2-pipe retort. From 1920 until 1928, lessees worked the property recovering around 80 flasks per year. In 1929, the mine was bonded to a new Company, and a 30-ton Cottrell furnace was installed. From 1930-31, and around 34 more flasks were produced. Sporadic work was once again done by lessees from 1931 until 1939, was sold. The following year a rich body of ore was discovered, and from 1940-41 between 1200 and 1300 more flasks were recovered. The property has been idle since, with total production recorded at 2766 flasks in 1943.

Flood
Was exploring the mountains outside of Wikenburg when I got caught in a series of flash floods. When the waters subsided I made a break for it, just ahead of another storm. In the end I managed to get in front of the flood waters.

Anderson Mill
In the San Domingo Wash, southwest of Wickenburg stands a strange mill site. Built and ran by two brothers it was used to abstract musovite mica from granite pegmatites. This mica is used for electrical and heat insulation, as well, it was used as a additive for joint compounds and paints. The mill stopped operation in 1951.
