Lina Khan is presented with a choice proceed with pursuing half of her mandate as head of the FTC, to protect the US from monopolies, or forgo this essential mission to appease the mega donors. Mega donor Reid Hoffman does not solely donate to DNC candidates. He is also a well-known supporter of Nikki Hailey who has shown clear signs of supporting forever wars, the main objective of the military industrial complex. As we move into the AI centered economy, protecting the public from monied interests is more important now than ever. Gaps in wealth will continue to grow exponentially if we cannot protect the few regulatory institutions and tools we have from being corrupted - especially when it is brazenly done on CNN.
