The Kinks have always been one of the Best and Most Important Bands in Roll the Rock Music, because of the Songwriting abilities of Ray Davies...Ray not only wrote great Songs, but his Lyrical content was Pure Truth, with Ray often focusing on Personal Truths that most didn't want to hear, such as Dealing with the Human Ego and Left Brain dominance... In this Brilliant Song, Destroyer, Davies sets out a character that we have ALL Known at times in our Life, it's a Self Destructing Man because he lives in FEAR; thus, he's not really living at all, rather he is only ever REACTING to what Life has to offer him, which is constant problems and endless moments where Left Brain Paranoia can reign Supreme, causing us to do countless insane things, all in the name of Paranoia, and believe me, if you allow to, it WILL DESTROY YOU... So, take a Deep Breath and really listen to the lyrics, as this character is what we must work hard, on the Path that is Strait and Narrow, to AVOID at all costs...because when we allow ourselves to be taken by Fear, and fall into the role of a Self Destructing Man, what comes next is your Life falling apart, until such time that most beg for Death... This may be the Best Roll the Rock Video I have ever created, and it is fitting, as this may be one of the Truly Finest Songs ever Written and Recorded, as Bruce Springsteen's Rock Opera, Jungleland, is a Journey Within the Imaginarium of the Mind; and where your Frequency is located, will determine the 'Ride' you go on... Jungleland is on par with the Pure Descriptive Genius of Bob Dylan, as Springsteen takes the Listener on the Journey of a Lifetime, DEEP within his own Mind, via Meditation, and what plays out in the Story, represents the Hopes, Desires, Fears and Pitfalls of this Man, in his Most Vulnerable state...as here, within Bruce Springsteen's own interpretation of this 'Out There' World, the Jungleland, lays his most Deep-Seated Feelings and Emotions, which makes Jungleland one of the Most HONEST and Vivid Songs you will Ever listen to... And this is the Kind of Man that Bruce Springsteen has always been, showing Strength and Courage, in Ways that most would never consider revealing, making his Legacy of Music one of the Best, and most Authentic that Mankind has ever had the privilege of Knowing... First, anyone who thinks that Bruce Springsteen isn't a White Hat, simply does Not Know the Man, nor his Music...Springsteen is not only one of the preeminent Songwriters in Music History, he is also one of the most SELFLESS and Hardworking...the man has Dedicated his Life to Service of Mankind, both thru the litany of his Brilliant Albums, and thru his relentless touring... When I was 17, I saw my first Springsteen concert in Seattle, Washington, at the Old Coliseum, right next to the Space Needle...the concert was 4 HOURS LONG, and at the end of the Incredible show, virtually every fan had to be Pried away by Security, as we simply did not want the Night to end...that is Bruce Springsteen... This song, Badlands, is one of Bruce's best, and it comes from his Most Biblical Album of them all, one of the THE BEST Albums of all time, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and in the song, Bruce creates an Allegory for Jesus' 40 Days and 40 Nights being Tempted by Satan in the Desert, by Brilliantly applying it to OUR Current Journey of needing to renounce the Canaanite creation called, Organized Society, and indeed, we must Spit in the Face of this Evil Construct of Control, so that we may Bust Loose from their Collar, and become Sovereign once more...and we achieve all of this by Trusting in the Power of God, by Walking the Path of Discovery and Self-Righteousness laid out for us by Jesus the Christ... In the First Verse, Springsteen sets all of this up... 'Lights out tonight, trouble in the heartland Got a head-on collision smashin' in my guts, man I'm caught in a crossfire that I don't understand But there's one thing I know for sure, girl I don't give a damn for the same old played-out scenes Baby, I don't give a damn for just the in-betweens Honey, I want the heart, I want the soul, I want control right now' We must come to realize that they have caught in a Crossfire that we don't fully Innerstand, but that we must be willing to Bust Loose from their Evil grip, and take back our own Sovereignty by reclaiming our Heart, our Soul, our Control...and in the second verse, Springsteen speaks to Doing our own Research into who and what is behind our Enslavement so that we may Bust Down their Door... 'Workin' in the fields till you get your back burned Workin' 'neath the wheel till you get your facts learned Baby, I got my facts learned real good right now You better get it straight, darling Poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king And a king ain't satisfied till he rules everything I wanna go out tonight, I wanna find out what I got' And when you come to this realization of the Canaanites, that even Kings aren't satisfied till they rule everything, then we Know that we are in a War for our very own Survival against an Enemy that wouldn't ever give us any quarter... As great as Roxy Music was, as a band, Bryan Ferry's Solo career produced even better Albums than Roxy Music's Classic period, which is saying a lot... Don't Stop the Dance was from Bryan Ferry's Brilliant 1985 Album (#1 in the UK), Boys and Girls, an entire album about the Sacred Importance of Relationships between Men and Wombmen...where the overall premise to the album was that we have been MISLED about both ourselves and Relationships...so much so, that Ferry accurately described us as mere Boys and Girls, attempting to make Sacred Love work, without knowing a single thing about this most important of Subjects... In this song, Don't Stop the Dance, the Song teaches what Colleen and I both practice and Teach, which is, that to make ANY relationship work, both Partners must place God Front and Center in their own Lives...as without this Penitence to God, we, Boys and Girls, simply become Bored, Distracted and Disloyal to each other, resulting in a host of negative and complicated outcomes... Let's Dance is a 'Biblical' David Bowie Song, from his Brilliant Album by the same name, where Bowie sang the entire song FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF GOD... And throughout the Lyrics, God is saying to us that either we are Dancing in UNISON with HIM, in Perfection and Grace, or we are Dancing Without Him and FOR the Cabal, in Slavery...and Bowie's Video makes this point very, very clear, as he used an Aboriginal Boy and Girl from Australia, trying on 'The Red Shoes' of the Cabal, only to become Urban Slaves...whereupon, they threw Away the Canaanite Slippers and went back to the Land where they had Once Belonged to... From one of the Truly Great Bands of All Time, the Alchemical Grouping of The Guess Who, and one of their Best Songs, ever, Randy Bachman's Masterpiece, Undun... This song is Brilliant for so many reasons, but two to focus upon are the fact that Randy lays out for us that we have All been TAUGHT to go the Wrong Way in our Lives, and still Randy writes with such Sympathy and Empathy, because he knows that it not only happened to him as well, but to ALL of us, and from our Born Date, as we have been LIED to about everything in our Lives... During the Songs Classic Refrain, Bachman wrote: 'Too many mountains and not enough stairs to climb Too many churches and not enough truth Too many people and not enough Eye's to see Too many lives to lead and not enough time' Revealing to us that 'They' have placed Roadblocks before us, instead of Free Pathways upon which to Travel to destinations Unknown...that 'They' have given us Churches but No Spiritual Truth, that the World is filled with People who CAN'T SEE, as their EYE is not turned on, and that we have been given an Infinite Life to Follow Infinite Pathways, but the Construct of Linear time, and the Acceptance of Death has taken away the Necessary 'Time' it takes to explore them all... The Song shows us that without following the WAY of the SON, we become LOST in Life, and then we become UNDUN, un-made by God, replaced with a False Self, 'Built' by the Hands of Man, perpetually going the Wrong Way, and never finding that Road that leads to God, WITHIN US... From the Brilliant Singer/Songwriter, Steve Forbert, off of his Debut album, Alive on Arrival (On my List of the 150 Best, Most Important Albums of All Time), comes the Song Thinkin', which is based upon the Teachings of Jesus Christ, and in particular, the Book of Matthew, Chapter 6, Verses 25 - 34... "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? This is perhaps the most important of All the Parables that Jesus Christ taught, as by Taking No Thought, it means that we deny our Left Brain Thinking Ego, for the Divinity, Stillness, Silence and Abundance of the Right Hemisphere of our Brain, where God resides Within us...and this is precisely why Jesus taught this Parable as part of His Sermon on the Mount, as it is Deadly Serious...if we continue to Think via our Carnal Left Brain, then we will surely Know Sin and we will surely Know DEATH; however, if we can Cross the Bridge of the Brain to the Right Hemisphere by Casting our Nets to the Right Side of our Vessels, then we can achieve LIFE, Right Here, Right Now, in Heaven UPON this Goodly Earth... So, the Choice, as always, is ours to make...God or Mammon? For we cannot serve Two Masters...what will it be? Heaven with God, or Hell within our Thinking Left Brain Ego? Choose, but Choose Wisely by Taking NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE...
