The term 'assault-style' has been used throughout committee, by Liberal politicians and anti-gun witnesses, to try and convince the average Canadian that 'automatic' firearms are what is being targeted by gun control Bill C-21. Alberta's CFO, Dr. Teri Bryant, and Conservatives Glen Motz and Dane Lloyd, seek to expose this disinformation in this meeting. The Alberta government is following through on a commitment to introduce an Alberta Firearms Act to defend law abiding gun owners from Liberal gun control Bill C-21. “Once passed, the Alberta Firearms Act will be the most comprehensive provincial firearms framework in the country. By establishing in legislation the role of Alberta Chief Firearms Officer, this legislation will elevate the responsibilities and legal mandate of the office to the fullest extent of the law.
