8 Cute Animals & Pretty Plants That Can Actually Kill You11m36s

8 Cute Animals & Pretty Plants That Can Actually Kill You

Here are the 8 potentially deadly things that only look innocent, but can actually kill you. There are many creatures and plants that exist which may appear harmless, sweet-tempered, or even beautiful from the exterior but in actuality are highly toxic and dangerous. #DeadlyPlants #DangerousAnimals #DangerousThings Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: As a child, you’ve probably been warned not to touch anything that you don’t recognize. Your parents undoubtedly worried that your sense of wonder may put you in harm’s way. That fear isn’t entirely unfounded. We’ve compiled a list of eight creatures and plants that may look innocent – but don’t let them fool you. They can be highly dangerous at best, lethal at worst. Fish: Well, this one is obviously a knowbrainer. Fish are pretty much harmless, and while you may want to go for the most obvious choice like a goldfish, why not get a little bit creative and step outside the box? According to Healthline, Siamese fighting fish, also known as Betta fish, are the easiest fish to raise. This is because they thrive in isolation and do not require filters, heaters, or chemicals. Reptiles: Okay, we’re not talking about anacondas or giant, deadly reptiles. We’re talking about the friendly ones. Reptiles like tortoises are great to have as pets. Not only can they live for more than 50 years, but they're super calm and harmless. While some species of snakes make great pets as well, you should avoid constrictors (well, obviously). Another added bonus is that reptiles are non allergenic! Rodents: Rodents like hamsters, guinea pigs, and gerbils are extremely easy to raise. They enjoy small living spaces and are very easy to care for. You might also be surprised to find out that rats also make great pets. Not only are they smart, but according to Healthline they enjoy human companionship. Just be careful that some small rodents - like hamsters, for example - may bite if they feel threatened. Birds: birds are smart, social and fun. They require a lot of attention but are a pleasure to be around. Parakeets in particular are inexpensive and don't require much attention. If you've had pets before and have experience raising one, you can opt for a cockatiel or cockatoos, which require more attention than birds like parakeets or canaries. Cats: Cats are independent, fluffy, and, well, just plain old cute! They require less attention and care than dogs, and are known to live very long lives. It is super important, of course, to make sure that before you get a kitten or a cat that it is comfortable around children - young children in particular, who have a tendency to grab and pinch animals. Dogs: Well, this one is a no brainer. Of course, before considering getting a pet as a dog, you have to take into consideration whether you have children, whether the dog is well socialized and comfortable around people an children, and more. Dogs are also a huge responsibility to take on. They take a lot of time and commitment. They need to be housebroken, walked multiple times dailies, need love and attention, checkups, immunizations, and more. But anyone who has a og can probably tell you that it's well worth it! Some popular dog breeds include: labrador retrievers, boxers, beagles, and golden retrievers. So all in all, there are all sorts of different pets that you can get that are safe for your family. And make sure that you avoid some of the things mentioned earlier in this video. You just never know when you might be faced with something that looks innocent, but could potentially be deadly!

14 Worst Natural Disasters In History

These are the worst natural disasters in history. While natural disasters appear to have become more frequent and devastating in the past ten years, human history is filled with reports of catastrophes of nature. #WorstNaturalDisasters #Disaster #NaturalDisasters Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: After many years that have been littered with heartbreaking natural disasters, where scientists warn that global climate change may exacerbate the risks of these events, the world’s attention has turned back to the disasters of yesteryear. From earthquakes to fire to tsunamis and more, mother nature is a ferocious beast. There’s no telling what mother nature’s capabilities are, and when a natural disaster is occurring, it can be like something out of the movies. This reflection process is important. The more we understand about past disasters, the better we are at responding to tomorrow’s tragedies, limiting loss of life and minimizing international impact. And the more we know about why these events happened, the better we can understand the Earth we live on, spurring scientific progress. This can hopefully help cities and places prepare for events that could cause damage to life, and can also help us better understand mother nature. Studying and understanding these natural events can also show scientists how to watch for warning signs or signals which could potentially save thousands, if not even millions of lives.

17 Mistakes You're Making With Your iPhone11m11s

17 Mistakes You're Making With Your iPhone

Here are the 17 mistakes that you are making with your iPhone. #iPhone #iPhoneTips #iPhoneMistakes Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: A lot of people own iPhones. There are a select few of us that use the phone only for communication purposes, while others use it for social media and emails, and some use it purely for playing games. Then there are those that use it for all of those things combined. The truth is, iPhones offer so many things on the phone. The issue is that consumers don’t know how their device actually works. 6. Don’t Wait Until Zero: For some reason, a lot of us wait until our phones are on zero battery to charge it. This isn’t a smart thing to do, according to gizmodo.com. They state that you should start charging your phone when it hits to 40% mark. They even state that charging a phone with a lithium-ion battery when it is at zero can make it become seriously unstable. 5. Not Turning Off Your Wifi: If you are in an area where there is no wifi or in a place where you don’t need to use the wifi, turn your wifi off. According the huffingtonpost.ca, leaving your wifi on all the time can be a cause the battery to drain faster than if it was off. If you don’t know how to do this, go into your settings and click on Wi-Fi. Then turn it off. 4. Allowing Location Service On Everything: When you allow location services on all of your apps this drains the battery faster than normal. Huffingtonpost.ca suggests that you should only apply an app to access your location when you are going to use the app. When you are ordering an Uber, then turn the location services on for that app during that time. The same goes for when you are using Maps. 3. Using All The Storage: We have all been there when we get that notification from our iPhones that tell us we have used up all the storage on our phones. According to u3.com, you are supposed to leave 10 percent storage on your phone for your iPhone to work properly. From now on, go into your settings and check the storage amount that you have left before taking any more photos, or downloading a new app. 2. Charging Your iPhone With Your Phone Case On: A big mistake people make when charging their iPhone is leaving the phone case on. According to apple.com you should remove your phone case when charging your phone because it results in overheating. When you overheat your phone the battery ends up being damaged. Next time your charge your battery make sure you take off your phone case. 1. Not Using A Screen Protector: Our iPhones are really expensive and they are in a way part of who we are. That means we need to protect them no matter what. Sometimes a phone case doesn’t do the trick because the screen is still exposed and can crack or smash. Try to invest in a screen protector for your phone. The next time you drop it you won’t have that feeling in the pit of your stomach that your precious phone will be broken.

Sleep Paralysis Symptoms, Causes And Treatment9m41s

Sleep Paralysis Symptoms, Causes And Treatment

Sleep Paralysis is when you to wake up in the middle of the night and can’t move. #Sleep #SleepParalysis #SleepDisorder Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Imagine this. You go to bed after a regular day, just like you do every night. Then, sometime after midnight, your eyes open. You know you’re awake because you can feel, hear, and see everything around you the same way you did before you fell asleep. But slowly, you realize something’s off. Your mind is awake but you can’t move. It feels like there’s something crushing your chest. That’s when panic sets in and you realize you’re awake in a nightmare. This sounds like something straight out of a Stephen King novel, but it’s actually a phenomenon that happens to a lot of people. In fact, “being awake in a nightmare” is the most common way people describe this condition (along with “waking up dead”). Sleep paralysis, as it’s commonly known, has puzzled every culture around the world for hundreds of years. People from all around the world have described this condition and could only provide spiritual and esoteric explanations. Today, with the help of science, we have a deeper understanding of what it means. So what is it exactly? Thanks to modern research, we now know that sleep paralysis originates from issues with REM sleep. During REM sleep, the body gets frozen by the brain in order to stop you from physically acting out your dreams while you’re asleep. This kind of paralysis that happens during REM sleep is natural and normal (called REM atonia). It becomes unnatural when a person is awake while their body is experiencing that REM atonia. It sounds pretty horrifying, doesn’t it? If you’ve ever experienced sleep paralysis you’re probably well aware of how scary it can be, and how it can have a huge impact on the way you live your everyday life. In fact, many people who suffer from sleep paralysis often experience lack of sleep because the thought of experiencing it makes them want to avoid sleeping all together. It may also affect their mental health as well as their physical health as they try to navigate through their daily lives with a sleep schedule that is often severely affected or non-existent at all.

How Humans React When They Smell That Death Is Nearby11m45s

How Humans React When They Smell That Death Is Nearby

Your body knows when death is near and you can smell it. Putrescine is the smell of death. #SmellOfDeath #Putrescine #Facts Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: If there is one thing that it is certain, it’s that science has proven that our bodies have the ability to smell death. We don’t have to be able to pinpoint what that smell is, but we certainly know how to react to it. If you thought that the sense of smell directly relies on how you interpret it, you’re “dead wrong.” We are more than capable of detecting many different smells, many of which we have no clue on how to interpret, but we react to them in a variety of ways. For example, we are able to detect chemo signals, which we identify as threats and fear of attraction. This is the same case when we smell death. A recent study was conducted on the behavioral effects of putrescine on humans which show that we are no different than the way animals behave when exposed to this scent. When animals are exposed to the scent of putrescine, they associate it with two kinds of danger: the first being that a predator that is higher in the food chain is nearby. The second is that certain pathogens are present that can put their life in danger if physical contact is made. In both of these cases, animals responded by staying away from the area. Under no circumstances did the animals want to take the chance/risk of being harmed or potentially dying.

5 Signs of a Future Sociopath or Psychopath9m45s

5 Signs of a Future Sociopath or Psychopath

Signs of a future sociopath or psychopath. Did you know that there are certain signs that a child will be a psychopath or sociopath in the future? #Sociopath #Psychopath #MentalHealth Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Children tend to have certain personality traits that may help determine what they will be like in the future. Identifying a psychopath at an early age is crucial. We all know what they’re capable of when they become older. With famous psychopaths and serial killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer and Jack the Ripper, scientists are constantly trying to figure out what can cause it. One thing is for sure, there are warning signs when they are younger. At times, it’s when parents push their children that lead to certain actions by them. The issue is they don’t pay much attention to certain warning signs. There are actually some pretty interesting studies about children and different types of mental health warning signs that parents should look for that could be signs that a child will be a psychopath in the future. These warning signs could be signs of an antisocial personality disorder, psychopathy, or something else. They’re Filled With Excuses and Lies: We all lie at some point in our life, but what makes a psychopath different from the rest of us is the intensity and frequency of the lie. Never forget that a psychopath will always serve their own interests no matter what. So these lies serve a purpose in the end for them, no matter how ridiculous they may seem. They Love Looking Down At People: Did you know that because they possess low self-esteem and insecurity issues, a psychopath will do everything in their power to belittle people. They know all the right buttons to push with people, and in the end you will find yourself apologizing for things that are far from the truth or reality. This is also a sign of a narcissist. They’re Hypocrites: psychology experts state that psychopaths, narcissists, and sociopaths can are typically charmers, they know what to say and do in order to get on everyone’s good side. But the minute you turn your back to them, they will stab you in the back. They also possess the ability to play the victim or the nurturer. If someone catches wind that they have been gossiping about them, a psychopath will almost immediately play the victim card. Or they will play the nurturer card, even if the person they are nurturing is sad because of something they deliberately did to them. They Have Many Sides: psychopathic behavior is always changing. They use different personas depending on the situation. They can go from a happy, go-lucky person to a repulsive angry person in a matter of seconds. They can be the most compassionate person towards you, and then the moment someone else is around, they can turn their back on you like it was nothing. These actions are red flags because they do not fit the normal personality frame. Drama Queens: They never like taking responsibility for their own behavior. So they tend to toss the blame onto other people and avoid admitting they’re wrong. They will do everything in their power to convince you that their story checks out and will deny any fault that may be possible. Manipulators: one major sign of an antisocial personality disorder is someone who persistently lies, according to the Mayo Clinic. People with this type of personality disorder are very skilled at this craft so you really need to be aware of this sign. They will do whatever it takes to force the blame on you in order to get out of any situation. Don’t feel like you are the only target, you need to realize that everyone is a target to a psychopath. They love attention and being liked, but can’t stand when things do not go their way. This type of trait is also very common in a narcissist. Excessive Anger: A psychopath or something with an antisocial personality disorder is someone who models excessive anger no matter who they’re with or what they are doing. In a relationship it might be verbal abuse. Outside of a relationship you might notice that they have constant road rage. This might be hard to detect because of their constant change in personalities. But if you look for patterns and consistency, you’ll be able to stay true to this sign.

11 Japanese Etiquette Rules Westerners Won’t Understand9m37s

11 Japanese Etiquette Rules Westerners Won’t Understand

11 examples of Japanese etiquette that Westerners won’t understand. For outsiders looking in at a country’s etiquette rules and manners, it can be easy to get culture shock. #JapaneseCulture #JapaneseEtiquette #JapaneseTraditions Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Japan is famous for the complexity of its social rules. Japanese culture prizes harmony and social order, and that focus is reflected in its social customs. According to Japan-Guide.com, there are certain things you should know about Japanese etiquette if you are planning on traveling there, and we’ll tell you about some of them in this video! Honorifics are phrases meant to clarify a person’s social standing, like Dr., Mr. or Miss. Japanese honorifics, a set of suffixes added to names to convey relative social standing, can be confusing to outsiders. But most common honorifics are actually pretty easy to explain, even to people who don’t know anything about the system to start. San is the most common honorific, and has the same connotations as “Mr.” or Mrs.” Schoolchildren and co-workers typically refer to each other with -san. Sama, on the other hand, is more formal, and is generally used for social superiors or a person whom the speaker admires. It’s also used for oneself if you want to be a smart-alec (meaning something like ‘my honourable self’). Kun is typically used for people talking to someone of a lower rank than them, or a man the speaker is emotionally attached to. Chan is a suffix used for someone the speaker thinks is cute, like a child or a pet. Tan is an even more cute version of chan and can be used with equals if you’re close to them, but they shouldn’t be used for superiors. Senpai (“earlier colleague”) is used for peers in higher grades at school, and anyone with more experience at work, school, or a club. The equivalent of “senior,” this is used for classmates in higher grades and all people with more experience than yourself either at work, club, or in any kind of group. Kōhai (“later colleague”) is the opposite, but it’s not generally used as a suffix, as the speaker risks sounding condescending. From dining etiquette to manners, there are all sorts of Japanese etiquette rules that most westerners probably don’t understand. Did you know any of these? Have you ever been to Japan? Let us know about some other types of etiquette, manners, and traditions from other cultures that most people aren’t aware of by commenting below!

8 Things You Need To Know When Dealing With The Police10m26s

8 Things You Need To Know When Dealing With The Police

Here are 8 things you should know about police officers and how to deal with them. Knowing and following these simple things will keep you out of trouble with the police. #Police #Tips #Law Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Don’t resist: It’s counter-intuitive when faced with people wearing armor and holding weapons, but staying calm and respectful is vital. Running, bad-mouthing the officer, or reaching for anything in your waistband or pockets are all serious no-gos. This is true even if you’re being approached or arrested for unfair reasons, or if the police officer is being disrespectful to you. But don’t consent, either: Please don’t take the rule mentioned before this one to mean “do everything the officer asks you to.” You still have rights. The police are allowed to pat you down (if they suspect you’ve got a weapon), but you can refuse to consent to a further body search or a search of your car or home. If they do it anyways, verbally say that you don’t consent, and absolutely don’t volunteer to be searched. If you do consent, it might have implications when you’re in court. (Interesting side note: police officers often put their hand on vehicles when they stop them to leave fingerprints as proof that they encountered the vehicle. I’m absolutely not telling you to mess with that….but your car could probably use a wash anyway, right?) How to respond when you're being pulled over: According to an anonymous Chicago police officers on ReadersDigest.com, when you're pulled over, there are certain things you should do so that the traffic stop goes as smoothly as possible. Police officers state that in the event that you are pulled over, you should turn off your dome light (if it's dark and you turned it on). Then you should roll down your window and wait for the officer to come to your window. As you wait, they suggest putting your hands in clear sight on your steering wheel. In the event that a police officer asks you to see your insurance, license, and registration, be sure to tell him or her where they are before you begin reaching for them. Why, do this, you ask? Well, according to Reader's Digest, most criminals carry guns in the places they would keep a wallet - like a pocket, glove box, purse, or bag. When you do reach for your license, insurance, and registration, move slowly. Don't make any sudden quick movements. Calmly hand them to the police officer, be polite, and listen to what he has to say. If you have a legitimate reason for speeding, calmly try to explain it. Either way, there's really no point arguing - if you went over the speed limit, well you went over the speed limit. You can't turn back time, so you just may have to deal with getting a ticket, unless you're a master sweet talker and can talk the officer out of it - but, good luck with that! Don't lie: Giving false information can get you charged with obstruction of justice, a felony under federal law. However, you can’t be charged with obstruction of justice for refusing to answer questions (although in some states, you do need to give your name if asked), because of your Fifth Amendment Rights. The Right to Remain SIlent: Wait, what does the right to remain silent actually mean? You can’t be punished for refusing to answer questions, even if the police imply that you will, or that things will be easier on you if you cooperate (actually, refusing to make a self-incriminating statement is way more likely to be helpful to your case than co-operating with the police). The police should give you a verbal Miranda Warning to remind you of that right, but they may neglect to do so. Just say that you’re exercising your right to remain silent, and nothing else. And now that you’ve reached the very end of the video, can you guess the percentage of police officers in the United States that are female? Well, according to Wikipedia, as of 2007 12% of police officers in the United States are female, jumping up from 7.6% in 1987!

8 Fake Foods You Eat Every Day10m39s

8 Fake Foods You Eat Every Day

Here are 8 fake foods you eat every day. #Food #Health #FakeFood Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Now that you know about the top 8 fake foods that we are eating everyday, here are some healthy alternatives to our favorite restaurant dishes that you can order at restaurants! Soup: Lots of restaurants tend to serve soups that are extremely creamy and high in calories. Avoid soups like broccoli and cheese soup, which tends to focus more on cheese and cream. You should also try avoiding clam chowder, instant ramen, and lobster bisque. Livestrong.com states that some of the best and healthiest meals to order at restaurants are soups - but not just any type of soups! Livestrong suggests starting your meal with a cup of minestrone soup, which is a vegetable and bean soup that carries lots of fiber. This can help you feel more full. Some other healthy soup alternatives are chicken noodle soup, black eyed pea soup, and butternut squash soup. Burger: Burgers are some of the most popular foods to order at restaurants, but they are often extremely high in calories. If you're considering eating a burger at a restaurant, try to opt for a healthy alternative. Consider a turkey burger in a lettuce bun or on top of a salad. You can also always opt for a veggie burger on a salad. Try to avoid cheese and mayonnaise, and consider eating the burger open-faced by removing the top of the bun. Sandwich: Sandwiches may seem like healthy alternatives to things like burgers or pasta, but some sandwiches can be just as high in calories as burgers or other entrees. When ordering a sandwich at a restaurant, consider a BLT on whole wheat toast. The calorie count for a BLT is low as long as you don't over do it with the bacon. Ask for a small amount of mayo, or even light mayo. You can also opt out of using mayo to cut even more calories. As a side, instead of fries, consider ordering a side of veggies or even fruit. Pizza: Pizza doesn't always have to be unhealthy! There are all sorts of different things you can do to a pizza to make it healthy and high in nutritional value. When ordering a pizza, opt for a thin crust, and ask for half the cheese. Skip out on the high calorie meat toppings and try choosing grilled chicken or any other type of lean protein. To cut even more calories, you can ask for more veggies, extra mushrooms, and a dash of oregano to add that extra flavor. Try ordering a salad beforehand so that you are filled up a little before the meal. Remember, healthy doesn’t always have to be boring! If you are weary about ordering some of your favorite foods because of their high calorie content and poor nutritional value, consider healthy alternatives. All it takes is a few adjustments. If you’re on a diet and are scared of ordering foods at restaurants because they don’t fit your dietary goals, then consider the alternatives in this video!

People resort to DIY projects to figure out how to make their lives easier and buy cheaper products that save them money. #LifeTips #LifeHacks #DIY Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: As the cost of living continues to skyrocket and minimum wage stays stagnant, consumers of all ages need to find useful ways to budget, cut corners, and use coupons in order to survive in this capitalist society. There are certain financial tips and tricks, such as setting aside 10% of your income every month, that are kind of obvious but there are other DIY (Do It Yourself) tips that you can employ in order to save those dollars! You can also create a cool feathered lampshade. This one might be a little more time consuming but it will certainly be worth your while. Get an empty water bottle jug (preferably a gallon jug.) Proceed by removing the bottom of the jug. Next, get a whole bunch of plastic spoons and cut off the handle. Place some hot glue on the broken handle of the spoon. Glue it onto the water bottle with the spoon facing upwards (if the bottleneck were to be standing on the bottom as shown in the picture.) Glue it all the way around and voila! You’ve got a feathered lampshade! And here's another awesome lampshade idea! Find an old tattered lampshade that you want to replace and renew. Remove the beaten up lampshade and replace it with a piece of construction paper. Wrap it around the metal ring of the lampshade and then glue the ends together. Print out an image that you want replicated on your light source. Whether it’s a landscape or an animal or space, it doesn’t really matter. Using a tiny pin, poke the holes around the landscape. In essence, create the landscape or scenery by poking tiny holes around the image/stencil. Remove the image that you placed around the construction paper and now when you go to turn on the light of the lampshade you should get an illuminated desired scenery.

Although sometimes the signs of love are obvious, some people - especially men - may have a harder time showing that they love someone. He may be afraid to take that big step, or perhaps is even afraid of what the future holds. Whatever it is, there are certain signs that a man shows when he is in love. He no longer says I love you: If you and your partner tell each other you love each other all the time, and you start to notice that he is no longer saying it, it might mean that his feelings towards you have changed. If you notice this, speak to him about it and communicate your feelings to find out if his feelings have changed. You are no longer being intimate with one another: If you notice that your sex life has taken a dive, or that your partner is no longer affectionate towards you, it could be a clear cut sign that he is no longer attracted to you. Intimacy is an extremely important part of any relationship, and if you notice it is lacking it could be a red flag. He doesn’t spend as much time with you: If your partner has been skipping out on date night and has been going out without you with his friends (or even by himself) more frequently, you may need to start asking yourself why he no longer wants to spend time with you. Although it is perfectly healthy to have your alone time in a relationship, it is still important to go out on dates and spend quality time together. If this is lacking in your relationship, try to find out why. Schedule date nights and do fun, exciting things that you and your partner have never done before. Try to show your partner that there is a fun, adventurous side to your relationship that can be rekindled with a little bit of work.

4 Signs Your Love Will Last A Lifetime According To Buddha9m54s

4 Signs Your Love Will Last A Lifetime According To Buddha

Buddha's four elements of true love and signs your partner loves you. #Love #Buddha #TrueLove Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: The four elements described follow several Dharma, which is the Sanskrit word meaning ‘to hold or keep; maintain.’ Many eastern religions contain Dharma within their philosophies and theologies, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. In Buddhism, Dharma is also a word closely associated with phenomena. Buddhism itself originated around 6th century BCE in India, where it spread around most of Asia over the next few centuries. Buddha, or Siddhartha Gautama was an enlightened teacher and philosopher, who paved the way toward a middle road between the complete abstinence of indulgence to the enjoyable indulgence of the senses. Thich Nhat Hanh is a profound modern Buddhist Zen Master, whose published works in Buddhist literature spans across four decades. Thich Nhat Hanh’s lesson on the four elements of true love bring us to four distinct Dharma that we can incorporate into our own relationships. Love is a fickle emotion. It can drive two people crazy but can also bring two people together for eternity. Love is only as strong as the two people in the relationship. If only one person is “head over heels” in the relationship, chances are it’s not going to go as smoothly. It’s a known fact that women tend to show their emotions more than men do, so when a woman knows she’s in love, it’s a challenge to figure out of he loves her back without asking him. And when a man is in love, sometimes it is hard for him to express his emotions because of the stigma that is attached to men who show their emotions. In today’s society, men are criticized when they are vulnerable, and because of this they refuse to show their emotions. That being said, there are certain signs that both men and women show that are in in love with someone. If you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend and are not sure if she or he is in love with you, there are certain signs you should watch out for.

6 Morning Habits That Cause Unwanted Weight Gain9m00s

6 Morning Habits That Cause Unwanted Weight Gain

Here are the 6 morning habits that cause unwanted weight gain. #UnwantedWeightGain #LoseWeight #WeightGain Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Meditation: studies show that meditation has a profound impact on our minds. It helps us stay in the present and rid our minds of the constant worries and stresses which plague us every day. It helps us focus and concentrate and helps us avoid becoming distracted by things like anxiety or even food. Starting your day off with meditation can help you mentally prepare yourself for the day. If your mind is more mentally prepared and you have more concentration throughout the day, you are less likely to have cravings or get distracted by thoughts of snacking on food, which can help you keep off those dreaded pounds. Meditation can also help promote better and healthier eating habits, so give it a shot! Pack your lunch: Okay, admit it - a lot of us are guilty of eating out at lunch. And when we eat out, we are often eating junk food and foods loaded with sugar that can result in weight gain. To avoid this, you should pack your own lunch every morning. Make sure that it is packed with healthy foods, protein, and lots of water. While there’s nothing wrong with grabbing a burger or pizza for lunch every so often, the fact is, homemade meals and food are always way healthier than food that you buy at fast food chains or restaurants, so if you want to start reducing how much you are eating, consider packing your own lunch every single morning!

7 Ways To Tell If Someone Is Lying to You9m51s

7 Ways To Tell If Someone Is Lying to You

7 simple ways to tell if someone is lying to you. In a day and age where the truth can be misdiagnosed as being fake and things that are fake can be construed to be the truth, we need to decipher fact from the fiction. #Lies #Liars #Psychology Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: 7. Short emotional outbursts. In a study conducted at Stephen Porter’s Forensic Psychology Lab at Dalhousie University, they found that a liar will have short and quick bursts of true emotion. The study asked participants to intentionally lie and when the researchers tracked the movements on their face they found that these liars would have very minute ‘cracks’ in their lies that would last one-fifth of a second. This means that when someone is lying, they might show brief but very obvious signs of emotion. 6. Pressed lips. In a meta-analysis that was done by the American Psychological Association, they found that liars were more likely to press their lips together which made their faces look tenser and ‘forced.’ 5. The Devil is in The Details. According to Psychology Today, someone who is lying will leave out specific details. A truth teller will generally include details and tidbits in their stories because that’s how they perceived the situation to be. But a liar will leave our details and provide an incomplete account of an event. This also leads to inconsistencies in their stories as well as a difficulty to retell the story accurately. 4. Eye Contact. Another way to tell if someone is lying is by gauging their eye contact. According to Wendy L. Patrick who is a career prosecutor as well as a behavioral expert: ‘If you are using visual behavior to gauge the credibility of someone you know, you will also have the benefit of a baseline. Some people, for example, will never look you in the eye. For others, every interaction is a stare down.’ 3. Bad memory. According to Psychology Today, liars are more frequent in admitting to having a faulty memory. Truth tellers can generally relay the story with no real difficulties since they are telling the truth, but liars, however, will be more willing and susceptible to giving ‘excuses’ as to why they can’t fully remember the event. This goes back to avoiding giving much detail when a liar is telling a story. When a liar is called out on their lies, he or she will tend to resort to the excuse that they have a bad memory. This lets them weasel out of the lie they told and gives them an excuse for not having the story right. 2. People are more likely to lie when they’re under stress. Clinical psychotherapist Jerilee Claydon says: ‘Lies are usually told to gain a connection. A fundamental human quality for survival is to maintain relationships, so if the truth doesn’t appear to be working, we often lie.’ 1. Liars are more likely to touch their faces or fidget. Roger Strecker Sr., a trained Behavioral Analysis Interviewer/Interrogator with over 30 years of law enforcement experience, says that the touching of the face creates a calming effect on the mind. Noticing minute physical expressions such as those can help in spotting a liar.

8 Exercises To Relieve Lower Back Pain Quickly10m26s

8 Exercises To Relieve Lower Back Pain Quickly

8 safe and effective exercises that will relieve lower back pain instantly. #BackPain #Health #Exercise Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: Lower back pain can be highly debilitating. Your lower back provides support for the weight of your upper body, as well as the hip motion, used when walking. When your lower back is in pain, it can make even the smallest movement feel like a monumental effort. According to John Peloza, MD, writing for Spine-Health, lower back pain can result from injury to the muscles, discs, ligaments, or joints in the lower back, including your hips. Pain in the lower back region can also be caused by the piriformis muscle, which can also cause pain in the buttock and the back of the leg, due to its proximity to the sciatic nerve. The main causes of lower back pain, according to John Peloza, are muscle or ligament strain. According to Healthline, muscle strain occurs “when your muscle is overstretched or torn.” This can be caused over time by repetitive movements or can occur suddenly due to injury. Though John Peloza notes that muscle and ligament strains do not usually cause long-lasting pain, “the acute pain can be quite severe.” In the case of sacroiliac joint dysfunction, if the sacroiliac joint becomes irritated for any reason, it can also affect the structure of the piriformis muscle, which in turn affects the adjacent sciatic muscle causing further pain down the leg. Luckily, there are some simple yet effective stretches that you can do every day to help relieve lower back pain and also prevent it from happening in the future. Kojo Hamilton, MD, writing for Spinal-Health notes that “stretching low back and lower body muscles can alleviate tension, reduce pain, and better support the spine.” In the case of sciatic pain, low impact exercise and stretching is typically more effective in treating the pain than bed rest, according to Physical Therapist Ron S. Miller, a contributor to Spinal-Health. Doing these stretches on a regular basis should help to alleviate lower back pain and keep your back muscles and spine in good shape. However, keep in mind that you should consult your physician before beginning any exercise program, especially when dealing with any existing or ongoing pain.

23 Fashion Trends That Should Stop10m43s

23 Fashion Trends That Should Stop

Here are 23 dumb fashion trends people need to stop doing. #DumbTrends #FashionTrends #Trends Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: 9. Fitbits: We get it, you’re active, you participate in fitness, but unless you’re an athlete training for something, why does everyone and their mother need to be sporting one of these unflattering rubbery bracelets? As a person who works out daily, I’ve never once even considered getting a Fitbit. 8. Pom Poms: We’re not sure who brought back the pom pom trend but all of a sudden it’s on every purse. We’re not sure why people feel the need to carry around a ball of fluff as a fashion statement. It almost looks like there’s some sort of animal attached to these purses. 7. “Festival” Wear: This trend that features feathers and flowers and patterns of all shapes and sizes was made popular through music festivals such as Coachella. However, there are several controversial elements to it and it should probably be left in the past, or at least in the festival. Are you guilty of wearing “festival” attire? 6. Mustache Craze: Similar to pineapples and mom jeans, mustaches are just about everywhere. And they’re not just on people faces; they’re on necklaces, sunglasses, mugs, magnets, and people even get them tattooed on their own bodies! We’re not sure what the huge obsession is with them, but it’s definitely getting old. 5. Posterior Enhancers: Curvy behinds are becoming more desirable these days thanks to people like Nicki Minaj and the Kardashians. But some people are taking this too far by buying devices that enlarge their behinds in order to keep up with the trend. Everyone should appreciate their own skin whether or not they have a big behind. 4. Leggings used as Pants: Why won’t this trend die already? Leggings are great under a dress or a skirt but when they’re worn as pants they look super tacky. The thin material leaves almost nothing to the imagination and when bent over they often become see through. And you can’t forget about those underwear lines either! 3. Mom Jeans: In the 80s and early 90s, mom jeans were the jam. These high-waisted denim slacks were the go-to fashion statement of every suburban mom in America. For some reason, they’ve made a comeback in recent years and we have no idea why. They’re not too flattering, but to each his own, right? 2. Over the top nail art: Nail art has been a part of the fashion industry for years, but recently things have been getting a bit excessive. From fur and bubble nails to insanely long gel tips, these trends are starting to get borderline tacky and impractical. Whatever happened to a good old-fashioned French manicure? 1. Man Buns: And finally, man buns. This list simply would not be complete without this infamous new hair trend for guys. Though we believe that everyone should be able to style themselves as they please, unless you have a decent amount of hair these really don’t look that appealing. Especially when the sides are shaved as well. Do you know what one of the worst fashion trends going on right now is? Well, it’s ripped jeans! And we’re not just talking about jeans that have been slightly ripped, we’re talking about jeans that are ripped from top to bottom and hanging by a thread. Designers are getting a lot more liberal with their use of scissors lately, as made evident by the rising popularity of this strange fashion trend. Don’t let the rips fool you, these types of jeans can retail for hundreds and thousands of dollars, according to Farfetch, an online luxury fashion retail brand. The whole concept is a bit ridiculous because people can rip and tear their own jeans.

14 Painful Truths About Having Long Hair10m22s

14 Painful Truths About Having Long Hair

Here are 14 painful truths about having long hair. #Truth #LongHair #Women Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: There are a million things to complain about when you have long hair. It’s annoying, it’s frustrating and it gets in the way all the time. As much as long-haired people love to hate their manes, the truth is they wouldn’t have it any other way. Once you have long hair it’s part of your identity and shorter styles are out of the question. Who would you be without your flowing ponytails or barrel curls? Long hair can be a pain in the butt, but if you know how to take care of it and take the right steps, it can be a blessing! So, now that you know 14 of the most painful truths about having long hair, here are some ways you can tame that mane and maintain its health! Protein. The American Academy of Dermatology states that protein can help improve hair growth and give you stronger, healthier hair. Low protein intake can result in weaker hair and slowed growth. So if you want to improve the health of your hair and make it stronger and healthier, make sure that your diet is high in protein. Try eating foods like salmon, tuna, chicken, and other forms of protein to maintain and improve the health of your hair! Coconut Oil: Healthline states that coconut oil can help improve the condition and health of your hair. This is because coconut oil protects hair by preventing protein loss. Rubbing coconut oil on your hair before or after you wash it can also help to prevent damage. It can also help you hair grow because it reduces breakage and moisturizes. Avoid washing every day. Although it is important to wash your hair every few days, you should avoid washing it everyday, says Healthline. This is because washing your hair strips your hair of its natural oils, which are essential to the growth and health of your hair and can lead to breakage. It also dries out the scalp and lead to split ends. Healthline also states that you should only use enough shampoo to cover your hair, and that you should avoid washing your hair with very cold or very hot water. If you feel like you absolutely have to wash your hair every day, consider dry shampoo. And don’t forget to condition your hair, as this can help moisturize it.

8 Reasons Why You're Waking Up In The Middle Of The Night

Reasons why you are waking up in the middle of the night and how to sleep better and wake up feeling well rested and energized. Trouble sleeping is a common problem, and here is the solution. #Sleep #WakeUp #SleepBetter Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: We’ve all been there: one minute you’re having the greatest night sleep of your life, the next you’re waking up, uncomfortable, and can’t get back to bed. Everyone requires a good night’s sleep to function properly the next day. Some people manage to function on only a few hours of sleep, where others may need a full 8 to 9 hours. The requirement for a good night’s rest for a human adult averages at around 7 to 8 hours of sleep. This video doesn’t include sleep loss as the result of being a new parent, or the natural course of aging, where loss of sleep is to be expected, but it will give you some other explanations as to why you aren’t getting the best rest every night! Turning off all electronic devices before bed: this is something we are all probably guilty of doing. The National Sleep Foundation states that using electronic devices before we go to bed delays our internal clock (our circadian rhythm). This delays the release of melatonin, which is a sleep inducing hormone. this makes it difficult to fall asleep. Doctors recommend to stop using electronics up to two hours before bed. If that’s not realistic for you, try to turn off your electronics at least one hour or 30 minutes before bed.
