Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Aurora Mode (Hard) - Part 1: Child of Light

It's been a long time since I played this game, but some new content for Koji Igarashi's latest Kickstarter venture Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night dropped last weekend, including the third playable character from the $4,250,000 Kickstarter stretch goal, which a lot of fans speculated could be Dominique or maybe O.D., but turns out to not even be a Bloodstained character at all! The third player character is actually Aurora from another indie game called Child of Light.

Like Zangetsu before her, Aurora's playstyle is drastically different from Miriam's. In the first room of the Galleon Minerva, you're greeted with a list of Aurora's moves. Despite not being a Shardbinder, Aurora can still collect familiar shards and power them up by giving certain gemstones, gold, or confessions to Johannes. You can also power up by collecting HP Max Up and MP Max Up items and leveling up. Like Miriam, certain bosses will give Aurora new abilities unlocking additional parts of the castle. You'll know you got a new ability from a boss when a poem comes up on screen afterwards.

In Part 1, Aurora sails on the Galleon Minerva to Arvantville and then makes her initial entry into the castle.
