Intense Mariupol firefight caught on film

An intense firefight in Mariupol was filmed by a journalist embedded with troops from the Donetsk People’s Republic and shared with RT Stringer.

The troops came under heavy fire in an attempt to evacuate wounded personnel from the area, with an enemy sniper taking up a position in a nearby apartment building. The troops provide covering fire, before taking cover themselves behind an incoming armored personnel carrier, which continues to provide covering fire. The building is set ablaze, and almost completely destroyed in the process.

The evacuation was ultimately successful.
