Final Fantasy 4 (Pixel Remaster) - Part 2: You Spoony Bard!

After unwittingly destroying the village of Mist and killing the mother of a young summoner named Rydia, Cecil's first act of rebellion against his former king is to protect Rydia from invading Baron soldiers, which makes her warm up to him and join him on his quest. Now, the two of them head toward the kingdom of Damcyan via the underground waterway where they meet a sage named Tellah who has business of his own in Damcyan involving his daughter and a spoony bard.
