"Turn-Down Day" was the Cyrkle's second release and their second and last top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart rising to #16 in 1966 (Whitburn, 2013). The song was written by Jerry Keller and David Blume (secondhandsongs.com, 2022). In an interview with Casey Chambers (thecollegecrowddigsme.com, May 28, 2017), vocalist and guitarist Don Dannemann stated that the Circle was managed by the Beatles' manager, Brian Epstein, and the group was named by John Lennon (C. Chambers, thecollegecrowddigsme.com, May 28, 2017). The Cyrkle was the opening act for the Beatles during their final USA tour in 1966 (thecyrkle.com, 2022).
