Quaint Autumn Morning in the Old Hospital Cemetery "Vrapče" - Zagreb, Croatia - 4K UHD

Vrapče cemetery is located on the west side of Zagreb, Croatia. It was founded in 1889 by local mental hospital Vrapče as a final resting place for patients who didn't have relatives which could give them a proper funeral. The last one was held in 1976 and from 1977 the cemetery ground has been slowly fading away. As the city grew the cemetery gradually became surrounded by modern buildings and residential zones. Today a lot of locals use this burial place as a park or a convenient shortcut between two larger streets and when the night falls it becomes a perfect cozy/creepy hangout for local teenagers. Sadly, it may be only a matter of time before some urbanistic plan turns it into a building lot, so let's take a walk on this lovely autumn morning while this quaint old cemetery is still here.
