Putin gives bizarre 'special message' to wives and daughters on International Women's Day

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin today delivered a bizarre 'special message' to 'Wives, girlfriends, sisters and daughters', on International Women's Day.

He said: “I want to address mothers, wives, sisters, brides and girlfriends of our soldiers and officers who defend Russia during the special military operation” Putin said in the address.

"I emphasize that conscript soldiers are not participating in hostilities and will not participate in them. And there will be no additional call-up of reservists."

The Russian president also said he was sending special respect to the women of his country, adding "I understand how you’re worrying for your beloved ones. You may be as proud of them as the whole country is".
