MANIPULATING THE WEATHER SINCE 1915

Charles Mallory Hatfield created, what he called, the “Moisture Accelerator”. This was a mixture of 23 chemicals in a large galvanised evaporating tank that, he claimed, attracted rain. This was over 100 years ago. In one of his many projects, he was contracted by the city of San Diego to make it rain. He caused $3.5 million in flooding damage...he never got paid.
