Julian Assange wins right to take U S extradition case to UK supreme court

The UK High Court has given Wikileaks' founder Julian Assange right to take his case against extradition to the U.S. to the UK's top court.

While the UK High Court has given Assange the right to take his case to the next higher Court, the Supreme Court must also accept the case before the formal hearing can commence at the top court.

In December last year, the UK High Court had overturned a lower court's decision that Assange should not be extradited to the U.S. Assange is currently in jail in London.
