🌅 The #porcelain #vase and the #rose🌅

🌅The Grand Master and the Guardian shared the administration of a Zen monastery.
🌅One day, the Guardian died and he had to be replaced.
🌅The Grand Master gathered all the disciples to choose who would have the honor of working directly at his side.
🌅-I will present a problem - said the Grand Master. – And whoever solves it first, will be the new Guardian of the temple.
🌅When his very short speech was over, he placed a stool in the center of the room.
🌅On top was an expensive porcelain vase, with a red rose adorning it.
Here is the problem - said the Grand Master.
🌅The disciples contemplated, perplexed, what they saw: the sophisticated and raredesigns of porcelain, the freshness and elegance of the flower. What did that represent? What to do? What would be the riddle?
After a few minutes, one of the disciples got up, looked at the master and the students around him. Then he walked resolutely to the vase, and threw it on the floor, destroying it.
🌅-You are the new Guardian - said the Grand Master to the student.
🌅As soon as he returned to his seat, he explained:
🌅-I was very clear: I said that you were facing a problem. No matter how beautiful and fascinating it is, a problem has to be eliminated.
🌅“A problem is a problem; it can be a very rare porcelain vase, a beautiful love that no longer makes sense, a path that needs to be abandoned – but that we insist on following it because it brings us comfort”.
🌅"There's only one way to deal with a problem: attacking it head on."
At such times, one cannot pity, nor be tempted by the fascinating side that any conflict carries with it”.
