🍏#EARTH #SALT🍏
🍏My tribute to all those who cook, who sit down last, after bringing
the trays and bowls to the table.
🍏My tribute to all those who wait for others to start eating with
anticipation and suspense, to find out if they got the salt right.
🍏My tribute to all those who care about serving hot food, who shout
that the food will get cold, who, if not enough, knock from door
to door, from room to room, calling desperately, summoning the
battalion to take their places.
🍏My tribute to everyone who didn't give up the work of bringing the
family together.
🍏My tribute to everyone, anonymous, invisible, those who care about
making a different menu on a daily basis, even if no one notices,
even if no one comments, who sacrifice their leisure by choosing
products in the market and investigating prices.
🍏My tribute to everyone who knows exactly what's inside the fridge,
as if the shelves were an extension of their wardrobe.
🍏My tribute to all those who condition the pans for each task
Accomplished, so as not to accumulate dirt.
🍏My tribute to all those who still prepare the salad even though they
know the group's dislike.
🍏My tribute to all those who set the table with napkins and couples
of cutlery, cover the normality of rituals, protect the routine with
whim.
🍏 My tribute to all those who break the monotony of the noise of forks
and knives, bring up the subject about work and school and seek to
talk looking into each other's eyes.
🍏My tribute to all those who spend time cutting the roast standing to
distribute the slices evenly.
🍏 My tribute to all who remember to sharpen their knives and buy dish
towels.
🍏My tribute to everyone who cares about having the same dishes, twin
dishes, so no one feels different.
🍏My tribute to all those who are not in a hurry or selfishness and who
serve first and only then take care of their hunger.
🍏My tribute to all those who don't complain about taking something
extra from the fridge or pantry, who are ready to get up suddenly for
vinegar, water or oil.
🍏My tribute to all who are willing to collect the trimmings, wrap the
leftovers in plastic wrap and wash the dishes.
🍏My tribute to everyone who takes three hours to cook for a show that
only lasts 20 minutes.
🍏My tribute to all those who are never valued, who are never praised,
who never receive applause: mothers, fathers, grandparents and silent
grandfathers, unsung heroes of our kitchen, who keep alive the ancestral gesture of loving each other through their meal.
