1
The 5809 is a single-use wireless heat detector that is usually used with Honeywell's L5100 wireless security system. Heat detectors are generally put in locations where smoke without fire can be a regular occurrence, such as the kitchen. This unit will prevent false alarms in the case that a bad cooking mistake has produced voluminous amounts of smoke but no fire. In this video, Sterling explains how and where to do a DIY install of the Honeywell 5809 wireless heat detector.
