The Alarm Grid team was shown this special video from Honeywell at ISC West 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. The presentation shows some of the upcoming products and offerings from Honeywell that are expected to be made available soon. We are very excited about what Honeywell plans to introduce in the future.

The video starts with the tagline "Professional Security - Reimagined". This suggests right from the start that Honeywell is looking to take their security offerings to a completely new level. Truly some exciting ideas are in the works. Several new upcoming products are flashed across the screen as the lively music starts to play. The line "Learn one... know them all" hints that these devices will all work in a similar manner. By becoming familiar with one, you will quickly become familiar with the other devices as well.

First shown are two wireless all-in-one panels that might be a new or upgraded version of the Honeywell Lyric Controller. Both panels are ultra sleek, with a crisp, modern design. The video shows both a 7-inch option and a 5-inch option. Next is a wireless hub that could be used to support wireless sensors and devices. It's possible that this hub will support multiple types of devices, including alarm sensors, home automation devices, system add-ons and more.

Next shown is a hybrid panel that appears to be a mix of a hardwired panel and a self-contained wireless system. Like a traditional hardwired system, the control panel seems to consist of a cabinet where sensors and devices can be connected. However, we expect that some modern and exciting features will be built-in as well. This will likely include WIFI and cellular capabilities and home automation control, among other capabilities.

Honeywell then shows off its new Honeywell Tower. This is a standing device that appears to include a built-in security camera and a large prominent speaker. We suspect that this device will provide both video surveillance and smart home functionality. It might even offer voice control capabilities. But we'll have to wait for Honeywell to release more details on this interesting new device.

Several devices are then flashed across the screen, including security sensors, a wireless repeater, an image sensor, a siren and life-safety sensors. We gotta admit, the new wireless sensor lineup looks highly impressive. We can't wait to learn more about these devices and what they will offer for users. The presentation goes on to quickly mention that the sirens will be designed for both indoor and outdoor installations and that the life-safety sensors will indeed include the one-go-all-go feature. As for the motion viewers, they will be battery-powered and designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

The next portion of the video showcases the smart home offerings as well. They show the SkyBell DBCAM-TRIM, door locks, lights and a smart Honeywell Thermostat. Honeywell promises that all of these devices can become fully integrated with their Total Connect 2.0 Service. It also appears that Honeywell will soon be supporting Bluetooth functionality, including auto-disarming. It was shown later that Z-Wave Plus and ZigBee support will be included as well. The video went on to acknowledge that support with Amazon Alexa will be readily available.

Honeywell concludes the video by showing the LTE cellular communicators that will be made available for these new panels. These communicators will be easy to replace if needed, and they will undoubtedly provide tremendous speeds and reliability. Batteries can also be replaced by the user when needed. Overall, we expect customers to be thrilled with what is coming soon from this dedicated and very exciting company.
