The price for Total Connect 2.0 depends on how much the user's monitoring company charges them for the service. This is usually a fixed monthly price.

Total Connect 2.0 is operated on secure servers that are operated by Honeywell's AlarmNet division. An end user cannot access these servers on their own. Instead, they must receive access from an alarm monitoring company, such as Alarm Grid. The user's security system will be registered with AlarmNet 360 so that it can sync with Total Connect. The user will then be able to create a Total Connect account so that they can access the service.

By accessing Total Connect 2.0, a user can perform various functions for their Alarm System. Total Connect allows users to arm and disarm their system, check the current status of sensors, control Z-Wave home automation devices, view the live feed for security cameras and more. However, some of these functions may be unavailable based on the user's monitoring plan. The service can be access using a web browser or remotely through the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App. The service is only compatible with Honeywell Alarm Systems.

Alarm Grid offers many monitoring plans that include access to Total Connect. The least expensive plan is the Self-Bronze Plan at $10 per month. This plan provides basic access to Total Connect for self-monitoring, but nothing more. The Self-Silver Plan for $15 per month provides everything included with the Self-Bronze Plan, along with Z-Wave functionality. The Self-Gold Plan for $25 per month adds cellular service for the system, and the Self-Platinum Plan for $35 per month adds video monitoring.

For users who want their system to be connected with a central monitoring station for automatic dispatch, Alarm Grid offers three plans that include access to Total Connect. The cheapest is the Silver Plan at $25 per month, which includes automatic emergency dispatch, access to Total Connect and remote Z-Wave control. The Gold Plan for $35 per month adds cellular monitoring, and the Platinum Plan for $45 per month adds video surveillance.
