Z-Wave Deadbolts that Work w/ the Lyric Alarm System

The Honeywell Lyric Controller includes a built-in Z-Wave controller for supporting Z-Wave locks. Certain lock brands work with the system. These include locks by Kwikset, Yale and Schlage.

It is very important to check and make sure that a particular Z-Wave lock will work with the Honeywell Lyric Controller. Although these locks all use Z-Wave communication, they are not all compatible with the Z-Wave controller that is built into the alarm system. In order for a lock to be used with the system, it must be compatible with its Z-Wave controller. However, Honeywell is continuously updating its list of compatible Z-Wave locks, so make sure to keep an eye out for any firmware updates that may be released.

In fact, Honeywell recently made the August Smart Lock Pro compatible with the Lyric Controller as well. This is an outstanding new lock that is excellent for any smart home setup. We highly recommend the August Smart Lock Pro for anyone looking to get started with a smart home setup. Remember, lock compatibility for the Lyric Controller varies by model. We find that virtually all Z-Wave locks by Kwikset and Yale will work with the Lyric Controller. However, certain models of the Schlage locks may not work with the system. And of course, the August Smart Lock Pro is a great lock to use as well.

Once a Z-Wave lock has been set up with the Honeywell Lyric Controller, a user can access the automation section of the system to operate their Z-Wave lock. This includes locking and unlocking the device and integrating it into smart scenes. Z-Wave locks can also be controlled from Total Connect 2.0. This can be done using a web browser or remotely using the Total Connect 2.0 Mobile App on iOS and Android devices.
