In this video, Joe teaches users how to pair a 2GIG SP2 Keypad with a 2GIG GC3 Alarm System. This is a relatively basic touchscreen keypad that provides simple arming and disarming functions and the ability to bypass sensors. The process for pairing a 2GIG SP2 Keypad with a 2GIG GC3 is quite simple.

The main purpose of a 2GIG SP2 Keypad is that it will provide a second on-site location for arming and disarming the system. Remember, the system can also be operated from the actual panel itself or by using the Alarm.com interactive service on a computer, tablet or smartphone. But for larger properties and businesses, a user might want to have a second keypad for controlling the system. That is where the 2GIG SP2 comes into play. There's also the 2GIG SP1, which provides all of the functionality of the SP2, along with voice functionality, panel programming capabilities, home automation control, and the display of the current five-day weather forecast. But the SP2 is good for users who want a simple secondary touchscreen controller.

When pairing the 2GIG SP2 with the GC3 System, both the keypad and the panel will need to be connected to the same WIFI network. The pairing process is conducted by providing the IP address of the GC3 System to the 2GIG SP2. Please note that the SP2 Keypad will only work with a 2.4 GHz WIFI network. The GC3 on the other hand will work with either a 2.4 GHz WIFI network or a 5 GHz WIFI network. But if the GC3 is on a 5 GHz network, then the SP2 can still pair with the system, as long as the 2.4 GHz network that the keypad is connected with has the same SSID name and WIFI password as the 5 GHz network that is being used with the GC3.
