Stuff NZ reported 23rd February 2022 the Government is fully funding a national telehealth abortion service, in an effort to remove barriers for those seeking an abortion. The free service will focus on enabling people to access early medical abortions

The national telehealth service was part of the Government’s plan to implement wider improvements to abortion provision in Aotearoa. Abortion was decriminalised in New Zealand in early 2020, under the veil of COVID19. Ardern introduced one of the cruellest abortion laws in the world.

The risks associated with the introduction of Tele-Health, Tele-Medicine, that was introduced to New Zealand under the veil of COVID19 include:-
Misdiagnosis, which in other countries are referencing Tele-Medicine, Tele-Health to malpractice lawsuits.

Data risks, telehealth data security- Cyberattacks. Your personal health information being cyber attacked, stolen - then told onto other cyber crims.

Unfortunately, telemedicine creates a gold mine of data for hackers. Hackers may try to hack telemedicine systems to steal a patient's private information, such as their Social Security number and other identifying information. They may also be able to obtain payment information from these records

The possibility of misdiagnosis, which already impacts 12 million U.S. adults per year, rises with greater use of telehealth services
