In this video, Jarrett shows users how they can locate the MAC Address on a Resideo LYNX Touch L5210 Alarm Panel. The MAC Address is found within the systems Comm Diagnostics Menu. You will need the system's Installer Code to access the menu. You will need the MAC Address when activating the system.

Every device that connects with an internet protocol (IP) network has its own Media Access Control Address. This is commonly referred to as a MAC Address. Out of the box, the Resideo LYNX Touch Security System cannot connect with an IP network. But if you add an L5100-WIFI Card, then the system will show a MAC Address. The MAC Address isn't actually associated with the L5210 System itself. Rather, it is associated with the L5100-WIFI Card. If you swap out the L5100-WIFI Module with a new one, then the system will have a new MAC Address.

The MAC Address is a 12-digit code that consists of numbers and letters. You can find it on a sticker on the L5100-WIFI Card itself. However, most users prefer to find it within system programming. To find the code, start by entering programming using the systems Installer Code. This code is 4112 by default. If you do not know the code or if you have been locked out of programming, the backdoor method will help you get back in. Once you have entered programming, choose Comm Diagnostics, then down arrow, then Communication ID Numbers. The MAC Address and MAC CRC Codes will be displayed at the top of the screen.

You will need to provide the MAC Address and MAC CRC codes to your alarm monitoring company when activating your internet communicator for monitoring service. We recommend writing down these codes and keeping them in a safe location. You may need to access these codes sometime in the future. If you ever lose these codes, you will need to find them again. The codes can be found in programming, on the communicator itself, and on the L5100-WIFI product box.
