Lexington, KY Tree on roof - 58 MPH Wind Gust

02-18-2022 Lexington, KY - High wind gust brought this tree down onto a house in Lexington, KY overnight into the morning. It looks like the chimney saved the home from major damage. No injuries were reported. An official wind gust of 58 MPH was recorded at Lexington's Bluegrass Airport last night. A lot of Limbs, garbage cans, lawn furniture and personal items got blown around during the front that moved through. Lexington also received about 2.79" of rain making it the 7th wettest February to date. Temperatures dropped from 61 yesterday to the 20's this morning with snow flurries. Folks in Kentucky generally say "if you don't like the weather around here just wait a few days". We seem to get a little of everything.
