Hi, I'm Phil Bridges, owner of Straight Arrow Repair. Ever want to know how a repairman fixes things? Well come with me, and I'll show you how I solve problems. Let's make things better together.

Well, the shower head is going to be up here. I want that to be real sturdy. So, I put a two by four behind it. And this has got what's called drop ear elbow. It has three screws. I made sure that it was where it would be flush or lower than the surface of the drywall itself. And that way it'll be really strong right there to see all the screws.

And then this is screwed on the side. Also added some wood in there so that when I put the drywall over it, it will have something to fasten to also not be flimsy, like it would be from here to here. But I'll have to do some drywall finishing over this but this is what you can do, just like I did.

This is, again, called a drop eared elbow happens to have shark bite connection. You can do a um, you can do a pex connection with the crimp rings. But they didn't have one where I went to go get the supplies. And so, we put the shark bite, which is push pull, push in all the way and pull up. And it's very good reason I don't continue to use these all the time is because about one in ten leaks, and they're very, very expensive compared to regular pex fittings. A regular fitting would be about $3.

This is about ten or 11, $12 So, it's to reduce the cost that I have to pass on to one of my friends slash customers. All right.

This is Phil Bridges, if you like what you saw and think it might be helpful to somebody else, push that like button and let other people know what you and I know, and we'll work together toward making a brighter future. By the way, we're not Amera-Can'ts we're Americans. See you next time.
