From Lebanon Dalia Runs This Legit Online Business - Helping Her Family Thrive During The Pandemic

Hi, I'm Darren, and I'm here with Dalia today and we're gonna talk about her online business. So when did you start your online business Dalia, and what was your background before getting into this?

Hi Darren, I started this online business last year 2019 in around September. My background, honestly I graduated with a degree with public relations. Honestly, I wanted to start this business because I live in Lebanon, and I'm originally from the US, so I came to Lebanon. Salary-wise here, a good salary is, like my basic salary is like five hundred dollars a month. And to put your kids in daycare, it's $250 a month each kid. So honestly, it wasn't worth it, and I didn't want to leave my kids. So, I was actually looking for an online job, and I came across an ad, and I was, I was in completely in right away. My husband was skeptical at first, but then he was fine. So it was an amazing opportunity.

There's always a skeptical spouse. What would you say is your favorite thing about this business?

Honestly, obviously the freedom that I have to spend time with my kids and my husband all the time. And the community, the community is amazing. I honestly feel like it's part of my family. I have so many people that I speak to every day on a daily basis, I feel like really good friends and I don't even know them personally. And I think I think it's great.

So you've been in this almost a year, how would you say your life has changed the most since you started?

Life's changed the most. There's a lot of aspects. Honestly my husband has his own business, he has his own garage. He does his own jobs and insurance claims etcetera. I felt like the biggest impact is when, the whole Covid 19 and everything, my my husband had to shut down his business. So honestly the only paychecks we were getting came from me. And that's when my husband, his whole skeptical thing just faded away. Once the cheques started coming in, he was like OK this is real, his skepticism just went away. So honestly our only income was from me, which that's when I, it was like wake-up call. That honestly anything that happens in the world, the online world is never sleeping. It's working 24/7. And it was such a big wake-up call, like how how effective the online world is these days, and how it is so helpful.

Yeah and so many people start this as their plan B, but it became their plan A.

Exactly, it becomes your plan A. I'm grateful to have found this opportunity.
