Always Look On The Bright Side of Life (Monty Python, 1979). Live cover performance by Bill Sharkey, Home Studio, Hawaii Kai, HI. 2022-02-12. "Keeping the Oldies Alive"

"Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" was written by Monty Python alum Eric Idle and was the finale song used at the end of the film "Life of Brian" (Wikipedia, 2022). Interesting fact: Research was conducted among United Kingdom Funeral directors and arrangers in August 2021 and found that "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" has become the most popular movie or TV song selected to be performed at funerals in the United Kingdom (coop.co.uk, 2021). Art Garfunkel recorded the song, which is included at the end of the film "As Good As It Gets" (last.fm, 2008); he did change one phrase: "Life's a piece of shit" was changed to "Life's a counterfeit" (songlyrics.com, 2022). Although the song was released as a single in the USA (i.discogs.com, 2022), it did not chart on the Billboard charts (Whitburn, 2013); however, it did rise to #3 on the UK Singles Chart in 1991 (officialcharts.com, 2022).
