A prayer based on the Lord's Prayer

When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray to our Father, Jesus provided us the Lord's Prayer. Just prior to this, and depending on which book we're reading, he also instructed where and how we should pray ... alone, away from the eyes and ears of others. Why we choose not to utilize these methods every time we pray, is beyond me.

There's no reason to think Jesus intended for us to state it word for word, we believe there's every reason to think he meant for us to address the concepts he provided. As such, we should acknowledge our Father, the location of his present existence, and how precious he must be if his name alone is on the precipice of holiness. We should acknowledge the creation of his new kingdom to come, where it'll be, and it's characteristics. On the new earth, in the kingdom of heaven, and within the holy city of New Jerusalem, his will - will reign supreme for the first time since the creation of man, just as is does in heaven today, and so on. It is these concepts that he wanted us to address when we pray to our Father, not the laundry list of earthly desires and needs we continue to ask for.

This is the only prayer we need to pray to our Father, because he knows our minds and what it is we need.
