The SMP (Skip Morris Panfish) fly is a fun fly to tie as well as fish. I came across this fly many years ago and have spent many evenings casting it to Bluegill, Redear, Pumpkinseed and even Crappie. Plus, it even takes the occasional Large or Smallmouth Bass! The SMP is a simply fly to tie as well as fish. Plus, you can change up the color of the materials to have versions of the SMP for any waters you fish. Enjoy
