Hook: Mustad 3906b, #6 - #12 (Smallmouth version - Mustad 3366 #4 or #6)
Thread: Danville A Monocord, black
Tail (Smallmouth version): Medium Round Rubber Legs, White
Body: Fine to Medium Rayon Chenille, Black
Back: 2mm Foam, Black
Head & Wing: 2mm Foam, Chartreuse

I ran across the It's-A-Bug fly in Fly Tyer magazine back in 2001. It quickly became a favorite fly. The original is tied in sizes for panfish but I modified the fly and tied it a little bigger and it has proven to be a great Bass fly. Plus, if you are new to Fly Tying, it is a great fly for you to begin with as it is not difficult, the materials are common and it has all the basic skills you need in any flies you might tie. Enjoy
